Have you ever seen a Stangl kiddieware set still in it's original box? by
steve
Hi everyone,
I have been collecting stangl kiddieware for a long time but I had
never seen a set in it's original box.
I found the box in a trunk in the attic of an old farmhouse in northern
Vermont. The trunk was very old and covered with a thick layer of dust
that had not been disturbed for...

Etching a complex design by
[email protected]
Hello,
I have started some simple glass etching, and right now I am simply
using Armour Etch on top of contact paper. I trace a design onto the
contact paper, and then cut out areas out with a razor. It's
rudimentary, but it works. However, the design can only be cut so
finely before I either go...

Weatherproofing copper foil...? by
Kris Krieger
Hi,
I want to make sme fixtures for outdoors. I'm doing copper foil. Can the
patina and whatnot be weatherproofed in any way? I thought about paste-
waxing the lead lines, or lacquering the whoel assembly, but any info would
be great.
Thanks!
- Kris

Can you help me identify the artist? by
Ron Wood
Hi Group
I am trying to shed some light on the artist who created this lovely piece
and what it is called.
The colours in my photos are fairly close.
There are some hand engraved inscriptions on the reverse in three groups
which I am having difficulty in reading, they a

This is the only post I will make about them, don't want to beat a dead

Finding glass by Valentino? by
news.rcn.com
I am trying to replace some glasses which I use. They are tourquoise-blue
and have a distinctly curved appearance and apparently were made by a
company called Valentino. Or the line was called Valentino? (They seem to
defy googling except that Neiman Marcus does show something by this...

Participation in the group. by

It's odd to call other posters bullies. We're just little words on a
pc screen, just emails. Only one glassworker I know has ever posted
to this group. I'm just another old turkey, doing glass by myself and
knowing only a few others who do it. Once in a great while I may have
an idea. Once in a...

Glass to metal seal by
[email protected]
I hope my question is within the topic of this group.
Could anyone tell me if glass tubing can be fused to stainless steel
tubing with a hermetic seal?
If so, are there special techniques/methods that need to be followed?
Would a scientific glass blower be able to do this.
Any advise...
