Regarding 'queens' in RCTY by Noreen's Knit*che
Rotflmao, I just had a thought after skimming through the posts, and of COURSE we can't have queens here at RCTY.... we are NOT only women here! And... if the men became 'queens'... we'd be talking a whole different GROUP! LOL, Hugs, Noreen Noreen's Knit*che

Happy dance by SlinkyToy
I've got yarn for sale right now - the only problem is I don't have enough of any one colorway or weight or type to make a project. Some hanks are large enough that a thrifty knitter could eke out shorty socks, or cap/mittens for a kid, but... With luck I *will* be able to produce project-sized...

Discussion topic: Aggrevating/irritating projects by NoraBalcer
Mirjam, That sounds just like me yesterday. Last year I bought a woodscape picture kit to do as it said on the box only 4 easy steps. I decided yesterday would be a good day to start it, wrong. It says to read all the instructions first which I did, all 10 pages of them. There are 14 colors that...

Suggestions for a substitute? by spampot
At this year's Sheep & Wool Fest, I picked up a pattern at the Euroflax booth for a knitted handbag. It called for the chunky Euroflax, which looks rather raffia-like, but that yarn only comes in a few weird colors, none of which I like or can even stand. I'd like to use a neutral of some kind. ...

Can crochet hooks FLY? by Sew-Sew Lady
While reading the take-along projects messages, I started wondering if any of you had successfully taken a crochet project along on a flight. Scissors and knitting needles don't seem to make it on board often, so I was curious if a crochet project might be a good idea for a flight.

A 'yarn' about teaching by Noreen's Knit*che
Hi group! I've just taught a 45 year old woman as well as her 23 year old daughter the 'basics' of knitting. How this came about was while entering 3 projects in the local county fair... the 'registrar' was admiring my work, but felt terrible that she had never learned... her grandmother knitted...
