Question for those in Germany/Europe by
Laurie G. in CA[_3_]
My niece is stationed in Germany and just bought a sewing machine so she
could learn to sew/quilt. She was asking me about online sources for fabric
(cheap, of course!). I know plenty of them in the states but not sure who
ships overseas or if there are any European fabric sources.
Any...

T-shirt Quilt--Need help!! by
Connie Einarson
I have never made a T-shirt quilt. I don't know anything about how to
even begin. Now I have been asked to make one for a very dear friend.
I contacted all of my quilty friends locally and none have them have any
experience with them either.
This quilt would be for a very dear friend who...

Okay, I'm still working on my Winding Ways quilt, honest I am. I'm just

Sewing machine suggestion by
Trixie[_2_]
My sister just started sewing her first quilt and her Singer machine broke!
She would like a good, basic sewing machine to replace it. She does not need
fancy stitches or fancy anything else. What do you suggest? Thank you in
advance.

How long did that take? by
Polly Esther[_5_]
Tonight's profoundidity. I was wandering through an old QNM and sort of
read an article entitled 'How long did that take?', a question that pops up
often along our quilting journey. The writer decided that every quilt we
create has the benefit of every quilt beforehand.
"Yes," I thought,...

Nominations: the Best LQS by
Polly Esther[_5_]
friend of mine was in our LQS ... well, not all that local - about 50 miles
from here.
A precious young lady came in with a panic. "Help me", she wailed, "I
have a job interview in 30 minutes".
Her dress had just split wide open from underarm seam to the center of
her rather ample...

Janame serger question by
Bobbie Sews More
I also posted this question over at alt.sewing. Tonight I went to Hancock
Fabrics because their sale starts tomorrow and I wanted to know exactly
which fabric I want to buy. I also looked at their Janome 3434. Since the
manager was starting to change the registers over to the sale prices, she...

My Yoga mat by
Brian Christiansen
Recently, on this group, or perhaps rct.sewing, somebody mentioned making a
small quilt as a yoga mat. Several people mentioned that this is a bad
idea, as it would slide all over the floor.
I was at tepwnbwaw ("that evil place whose name begins with a "W", just
seeing if I can get my own...

will be made using this fabric. Not all will be the same. This is the

Just want to say thanks to whoever it was on this group who mentioned the

a nice machine it is for the price.

I was cleaning off my sewing desk last week and ran across two block, shades
of purple and white, which would finish out at 8 and 9 inches. They were
for a hug quilt for a mens groups last year, but were not the exact size
that was needed.
Are you the keeper of the blocks for this group...
