Finally one for us science geeks by
The Other Kim
Hey gang!
I got my new issue of Interweave Knits yesterday and immediately ran to
the stash to find appropriate yarn to start making this:

The link is from the "Geek Chic" article.

I Don't Understand by
Shillelagh
Some of my posts aren't showing up when I read the group. Like the original
about the S.E.X. at Wal-Mart... but at least Slinky saw it because she
posted a reply. I also don't see my original update of "the joys of rural
life".
Am I going to have to unsubscribe and then subscribe again?

searching for discontinued yarn by
Laurie
Grandma got the whole sweater knitted except half of the last sleeve.
I've been searching online but haven't had any luck. Anyone know
where I can get my hands on about 2 skeins of Filatura Di Crosa Adhoc
Sandalo color 301?
Thanks!

Shawl update by
SlinkyToy
Ok, the yarn almost won, but I think I've found the ideal pattern for it.
Basic triangular batwing shawl, garter stitch, four increase points every
other row. So far I'm up to about bazillion/2 stitches and haven't screwed
it up yet.
Methinks the yarn is happy now.

Casein needle help needed by
Paul Garland
Hi all!
I have a fave pair of needles made of casein (think that's how you spell it-
silly things were a gift so I am not sure) that have developed a crack along
one end of one needle. Is there an easy way to fix this, or do I need to go
find a new pair?
Please help!

Do this tomorrow (Thursday) night. The server is slow, so be patient with
it. If all else fails I can drop a CD in the mail.

Accidental S.E.X and the BIG SPINRITE TENT SALE! by
madhatress
Hi all!
So Monday my BF and I decided to drive from Orangeville, Ont to Kincardine,
Port Elgin and Southampton just for a little day road trip. We had to detour
around part of the Hwy due to construction, and at the end of the detour we
took a wrong turn. We didn't realize it until we saw a sign...

One difficult part done successfully by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Yes. I started one certain sweater last night. I thought I
had a mess with the increasing thing - and yes, ladies, I
did as you told me. Every 4th, every 8th etc. It worked!
When I counted, there was exactly 80 stitches! WAAAAHOU!
*hugs you all* Thanks for being there! The decreasing part
is ahead...

Bobbles (popcorn stitch) by
AGRES
This is a good group. In most internet groups, if I posted that, "I made a
big bobble this morning!", the group would treat me like a loser. However,
here in RCTY, I know that making the occasional perfect bobble will only
add to my acceptance. g
These are big bobbles, made by knitting...

Apology for my trivia post by

Hi Noreen:
Geesh, must be my server, I missed your trivia post. I can't imagine it
being mindless though!
If I were you I'd chalk it up to...."to each his/her own"!
Wishing you all the best.

Woohoo!! by
Noreen's Knit*che
After much consideration and many false starts, and lots of
experimenting with scrap yarn, I am finally 'really' working on my
Wedding Ring shawl, using Cobweb yarn!
AND, it IS triangular, AND it uses the Allover Lace Pattern I really
wanted.
It will be a very slow project, but "I" am worth it,...

Dale sweater - new photo by
Martin Eccles
I've just uploaded a photo of Judy T's Dale sweater. In the unlikely event
that you don't appreciate the sweater, it's worth having a look at the photo
just for the woodwork!
Cheers, Martin
