thank you all by
CNYstitcher
whether it was teh combined thoughts and prayers of this group, or me
finally figuring out that the only thing I can really do now is stay
calm, things are seeming to work out.
Grandmother has accepted (though not happily) that she can no longer
drive and Mother has both sets of keys ot the car. ...

Tooting my horn a little (on topic) by
Kathy Applebaum
Toot! Toot! :)
Sunday was a good day for my ego. (Monday was too, but it was also a day
from h***, so it didn't count! LOL)
One customer dropped by to say a quilt I did for her several years ago took
Best of Show in her guild's show. A couple of hours later, another customer
called to let me know...

update on DS - OT by
Musicmaker
Mark has discovered that people with cf need a specially trained team
tending him during surgery or he risks respiratory arrest. So the surgery
scheduled for today was canceled by Mark and, instead, I went to St Louis
with him for a consultation with an orthopedic surgeon. After extensive
xrays...

Happy Dance with the ARMY quilt!!! by
Mika
Yippee!!!! I finished a quilt in the same century that I started it. In
fact, I finished it in the same year. Yesterday I finished the quilt top
that I made with the U.S. Army pillow panel for DH. I just have to send it
to my SIL to be quilted now. As soon as I get it back I'll post pictures of
it....

OT Will be quiet here by

OT
Due to severe pain in my right wrist, I will be quiet here for
quite awhile. I may post an important question or two but will
not be able to correspond much, if at all. Ditto happy dancing,
and hugs. I'll have to ask you to accept dancing, hugs, and my
sincere thanks ''in my thoughts. I went to...

Almost made it to LQS by
julia sidebottom
Jerry 'was' going to take me to the new LQS I mentioned before. The
catch was that I would drive and he would ride along with me... That
sounded like a good idea. I figured if I ran into any problems he was
there and could take over.
Well we had a problem. the alternator on the car went out on us...

Hiya folks,
Mat is in LA for the next week, working with the US side of the

Trip Report: Southern California Quilters' Run (South)--long! by
Debbe Nye
Hi everyone, I haven't posted much since I joined last year--been too
busy trying to absorb all the knowledge here and work on my mostly
small projects. A few months ago, I happened to pick up a flyer at my
LQS for the Southern California Quilters' Run, which made no sense to
me at first. ...

Making Quilt Raffle Tickets? by
dogmom
Are there any models anywhere for raffle tickets (for a quilt, of
course--but maybe the model wouldn't need be so specific?) Like, should they
be numbered--does it matter? I assume they should always be two parts--one
for the buyer to keep, the other with their name and phone for the drawing.
Are...

sewing machine poll by

Does anyone on the list have a Brother ULT2003 or the Babylock Ellageo? I
was at an embroidery conference last week and had a chance to sew on the
Brother ULT. I thought nothing could beat the D1, but I felt the Brother
screen was so much more user friendly than the D1, plus it made...

Southern California Quilters' Run Part 2 by
Debbe Nye
Hi everyone,
Well, I did it! I made it solo to all of the 22 shops in both the
south and north divisions of the So Calif Quilters Run. Now all I
have to do is wait for the drawings :-)
First, I have to admit I was a little lax in starting the second part
of the run--because I waited to the last...

Gee, this is supposed to be a site to promote good health, a cure
and so on. IMO, it should be USER friendly! I have no idea how to
switch to Internet Explorer .... don't even know if I have that
or what. Also, they sure asked for a lot of information ... why
do they need my name, and so on just to...
