Do not open any links from Tiny URL or other link services like it,

Jelly Rolls, anyone? by
Polly Esther[_2_]
This truly is not a good question to ask just now. I imagine that many
of us are stuffed to the gills with Thanksgiving good stuff and another
sweet may not be tempting.
My quilting buddy (you remember - the one who entered her first quilt
show and came home with a blue ribbon and an...

sewing again!! by
Ms P
I had shoulder surgery on October 26th. I had arthroscopic surgery and
manipulation done. I've got most of my range of motion back and my pain
level has gone from 8 to 10 before surgery to 2 to 3 now. I finally got my
machine out tonight and started working on some blocks. So far ironing and...

quilt shop - venting by
yvette
I'm venting about about a "class" I took at a quilt shop last week.
I received an e-mail advert for a "class" on improving your embroidery
techinques. I called and signed up and then rallied two of my
quilting friends to also sign up. The cost was $20 which included a
"light supper" and a...

Belongs in a fetish group for psychopaths. Don't these people have
anything constructive to do with their time?

I've got several Quarter Square Triangles to make for a quilt I've started

OT a little by
Anna Belle [email protected]
I attended a Guild meeting this am. While talking to a friend I found
she was going to sell her Bernina 930 on E Bay. She said if I could
find a current value for this model, she would let me buy it. Don't
want to over pay, but sure would like to have it. I own one I bought
in 1983, and have...

Ping: Queen of scissors! by
Sandy
Ms P, I have a question for you. My lovely pair of Dovo stork scissors
came in a little plastic sleeve -- not at all what these scissors
deserve. Do you have a source/link for scissor sheaths? I'd like one
(not metal -- probably leather) for these lovely scissors, but my
googling attempt has...

Brand handbags by
[email protected]
Designer inspired brand handbags are essentially weak facsimiles of
high-profile designer bags. These brand handbags capture the basic
hardware and pocket placements, color schemes, and body styles of
designer goods while making no attempt to adopt the logo of brand
names. Hence, these brand...

My copy of "Geometrical Quilts" arrived yesterday and it is just as perfect
as one would expect from our Pat!!
We have probably all benefited from her careful advice in the past - and, as
you would expect, the instructions in the book are some of the clearest and
best set out I have ever...

pot holder quilting by
simpleseven
Okay, I've made a few pot holders for Christmas presents and am going
to back it with the silver heat resistant material....does anyone know
if you can actually quilt through it? This may sound funny, but I was
afraid it would "leak" the heat to the front if it had stitches
through it. I'm going...

Sewing Machine inheritance by
Sunny[_2_]
My friend's will stipulates that I will receive her sewing machine.
Her daughter and the executor are wanting to go ahead and distribute
the things in the will so they can close up her house soon.
It's a Pfaff 7570 with the embroidery setup. It looks sort of old, but
it apparently has some...
