Queen of Squishies
Dear Karen,
Thank you for your note and - I think - thank you also for arranging the
package that arrived today. I don't know what type of work you have done in
the past but, if timing was important, you must have been a star employee.
As it played out:
I'm off my meds as of last night and...

Joan
Our Internet server crashed last Sunday, and we've been down on and off
since then, mostly off. Oh, woe! The site has just been restored Oh, joy!
Some of the stories and quilts had to be reposted, but all seems well
now. We get used to something working flawlessly for a long time and then
we are...

I don't know chinese but a suggestion:
Is there a real chinese restaurant near where you live?
Someone there may be able to help you. We have 6 or 7

Have at last finished the Castle in the Air and the Bird in the Air. I
have also redone the first applique block - Folk Feathers. I had
started off with the pieced backing and the fabric I used for the
applique just didn't sit well with the other blocks. When I compared
the two pictures the new one...

OT - I have a grandpuppy by
Musicmaker
Do grandpuppies count if I want to be a gramma? Her name is Emma and she's
a lovely Boxer, already grown, and smaller than most Boxers. She loves to
lay on quilts that I'm working on and looks VERY good in purple. She hardly
ever drools, too, which is always a plus in my...

Test for 1000% cotton by
Sally Swindells
Sorting through my bits and pieces I have oddments of plain fabric
that I am not sure whether they are 100% cotton or polycotton. They
are all pieces I have inherited from my sister, and therefore cannot
check with the previous owner.
I have tried squeezing them up in my hand but the results...

My DIL wants to do the babies room in Pooh so I thought I would make a
diaper bag from a pre-quilted Pooh fabric. Couldn't find any so bought
coordinating Pooh fabrics and started to do a cross hatch grid quilting.
After 3 rows of stitching, I found a BIG wrinkle so frog stitching started.
So now...

Yesterday, while shopping for more clothing fabric at my local Hancock's

similar to this one I found on the web -
http://www.azpatch.com/bom/pp2000/patterns/blackcat.htm but each of the 12
blocks was themed for a different...
