Disposal of slip and glazes? by
edard
Old ceramic slip, paints and glazes has filled my garage for years...frozen
and thawed many times. Most of the paint has dried in the jars and the
glaze and slip have separated. How can I dispose of this stuff? At least
I was able to sell the molds and kiln.
Thanks

manual kiln use by
Mike LaViolette
I purchased a manual kiln at an auction. It's a Skutt model 231-18
and is probably 35-40 years old. It's in excellent condition, in

contemporary pottery studio where I work. The person who owned the
kiln before me no longer...

annemarie
OK guys, if you buy or sell a plant container with a base tray do you think
it should be water proof?
We bought a living christmas tree and I got a nice pot (no time to make one
myself) from the pot warehouse and planted our little tree in it.
Moved it outside today and the tray has leaked and the...

Majolica painting problem (cobalt paint recipe please ???) by
Nina
Hello all,
I am a beginner and I have a problem.
I have been trying with several glaze formulas.
The commercial glaze (tin added) that I have now is beautiful.
I fire at about 1050 C.
Problem is the cobalt blue (Delft style) lines I want to paint.
Lines have round craters as if the cobalt splatters...

Looking for a formula by
[email protected]
At one time our ceramics class had a stain called Georgettes. Someone
in the class broke the jar and threw it away not realizing the formula
was on the jar. Does anyone have this formula? I would like to find it
for our class.
Thank you,
Mary
