Need material like linoleum without twine backing by Doc
I'm looking for some material that has the same characteristics as the olive/tan colored linoleum you find in art supply stores. I.e. - can be precisely sanded, readily cut with an X-acto knife etc. I would need it to come either in approx. 1/8" sheets or be readily mixable so that you could pour...

OT - DSL rocks! by Carla
Ok, the new room is shaping up, and now I'm zooming the internet. I feel like I've taken another small step into the 21st century :) The unpacking is going slowly (dumb job keeps expecting me to show up every day g). Hopefully, I'll be back to beadwork by week's end. It's been about a month...

seed bead tube storage by Carla
A couple of months ago, I saw a plastic ammo case used for storing clay canes. I thought that would also be a good way to store tubes of seed beads, to keep them upright and easily accessible, etc. Unfortunately, I can't remember the website I saw it on. I've gone looking for "plastic ammo...

Koolatron Oven for Polymer Clay? by svacha
Hi everyone. I am not sure if this has been asked before or not, but I am looking for a portable oven to use outside in baking polymer clay. I know that there are issues with uneven heating in some ovens and saw this ad for a Koolatron which is on sale at Target. Has anyone tried this unit? If...

sculpted face by cAndRaley
Hi, I know I'm a stranger here, pretty much, but I thought I'd show 'n' tell a sculpted face I finished recently: http://photos3.blogger.com/img/209/2894/320/100_3912.jpg It's the first one of this size, done on a heart-shaped Altoid tin (so it's about 4 inches tall). More like a bas relief, I...

Hi, i've used water-based clay for a time but i'm totally new to sculpting polymer clay (is it the same as 'oil-based clay' ?), and i'd like to order some to give it a try. But i'm quite lost between the different qualities available. I'm not interested (a priori but again, i'm not sure) in...
