Beautiful scarf! Thanks for sharing. I wonder if you could widen it to make
more of a shawl? Oh dear, another project in mind.

New by
Tracey
I'm new to the newsgroup and, after reading some of the posts,
pretty limited in what I do. :P I first began crocheting when
I was pretty young. Probably seven or eight. I limited myself
to chains. Looooooong chains. Maybe a couple of very basic
(and lopsided) doily-like items. My only noteworthy...

Knitting Flex needles Size 17&19 needed by
Padishar Creel
Hi, I am trying to knit an afghan (my first) and I am using circular
needles and I keep making the same mistake. Anyway, I want Flex
needles which are a cross between circular and straight needles. They
look like circular needles except that, instead of ending in 2 points,
they have 1 point and 1...

Light for knitting? by
I was brought up to have light coming over my shoulder for any kind of close
work such as reading. And without giving it a thought, I have always used my
reading light for knitting. But, over the weekend, I found myself sitting on
the porch (in the shade) with the bright sunlight in the...

Late Sunday PM, almost Monday AM! by
YarnWright
Don and I took a day, and went to Rock Island State Park, here in
TN.... had a wonderful few hours. I brought along socks to knit on,
but didn't get a chance to knit at all. (not complaining, the scenery
was too gorgeous for words!)
It's going to be a cooled down night, so perhaps I'll sleep...

A Sunday Finish by
Joy
Well, our trip to the amusement park was rained out (not necessarily a
bad thing), so I was able to finish the Infant Kimono that I began on
Friday. It was very simple, and I'm pleased with the result. Here's a
peek.

Whilst i was there his wife came in, and although I've been speaking to her
on the phone for over six years now, I've never met her. Anyway I looked...

OT - Long Shot by
Bob & Carol
I am trying to 'put a name' to a needlework craft that I had seen some time
ago. It used - usually - a white loose weave fabric or base. The you took
thread?? and either wound or knotted or looped or something through the base
to create a picture, or name on the base.
This looks a lot like...

When I by

When I misplace my marked-up copy of my lace charts at the halfway
point of a pattern row should I view that as a sign that I'm supposed
to
PUT DOWN THE KNITTING!!??
Or should I just make a fresh copy and keep after it?

Extra Stitches - ARGH! by
luvs2stitch
Hello! I have been crocheting for a while... more frequently in the
past few years. I've made a few blankets/afghans lately using basic
crocheting stitches (double/triple/shell patterns, filet patterns).
Most patterns I favor have a border of 5 -10 double crochet stitches
encasing the inner...

The Crochet Stitch Bible by
[email protected]
Hi I'm a regular on the cross-stitch forum, but do a little of
crocheting too. I have the Embroidery Stitch Bible by Betty Barnden,
and like it a lot. So I was wondering if any of you have another book
of hers, The Crochet Stitch Bible? I'm considering buying it.
Thanks
Amber

I had an appointment with my doctor this morning. Found out that
the x-ray of my elbow showed nothing wrong with the bone... so he
did a couple more things to test and said that I have "tennis elbow"

Good Sunday Morning! by
Joy
Hi All,
I'm up early and on my way to the flea market with my daughter,
in-laws, aunt and cousins. This is the first time the family has tried
to sell things, so it should be an adventure. I have my spiral rib
socks tucked away in the bag along with some cooler clothes and
sunscreen - it's...
