Delivery of Directory by
AliceW
If all goes well, the sweet sixteenth Directory will be delivered via email
over the next few days. It was ready on April 1 but with all the talk of
the virus and such, I didn't want to take a chance of it getting swallowed
up in the Ethernet. I have to send it out in small batches to stay...

Question about Applique by
F.Hollye
I am considering putting together a video to help instruct others to
qpplique covering the different applique techniques.
Do you feel this would be helpful and how much would that information be
worth to you, (in a dollar amount)?

Those lovely points by
Sharon
What is the secret to getting such nice points in quilts - I have a
terrible time not squishing some of them - I notice how beautiful
Kathyl's are - and so many others on here do beautiful ones too ...
maybe that's why I like applique better than piecing. I'm a lost
cause.

OT Lovely March Hares, not silly old rabbits by
NightMist
From the tail end of an article:
"Country people once thought lapwing eggs in fields were actually laid
by hares. This belief gave rise to the Easter bunny. This bunny is, of
course, a hare.
Some claim to see in the markings of the full moon a hare holding an
egg. The animal is on its side with...

I found out something about myself. by
John
I think you know that I converted a Bernina 1008 into a treadle
powered sewing machine. I haven't really gotten into it to any large
degree, until now. I am in the middle of the process of quilting
another of my "use up all the solids" quilts. I heretofore have only
played around with the treadle...

Pictures Posted by
Sharon
I put a couple of pictures on RCTNP of the quilt I was having trouble
with if anyone is interested in looking - oh well, some of the points
are squished but it doesn't look too bad. I shall keep a copy of all
the hints everyone gave me when I do another quilt like this.

Microstitch quilt tak basting gun??? by
Joanna[_2_]
Anyone have one of these? I bought one but never thought of how far I
should be spacing the taks. So I just started firing away. I'm guess I
used about 1200 taks and then had to fill in a few spaces with pins. I
know even when I used just pins I could use about 400 in a baby panel
quilt. I...

Don't do this. by
monique
I very carefully laid out, sandwiched and pinned a baby quilt last week.
I usually do this on the carpet, pegging the backing to the carpet
with open safety pins. Only problem? I had a sheet under the quilt.
Yep, you see where this is going--pinned through the sheet and had to to
undo and...

Paducah room by
KJ
I know of a room in Paducah at the Executive Inn that is available for the
quilt show. The reservation is for 5 nights, but I believe my friend would
be willing to break it up in order to recoup some of her outlay since this
has been prepaid. Contact me if you might be interested and I'll put...

Finished Projects from last 2 years - not all though by
DiMa[_2_]
Hi all,
I finally got my act together and put some finished projects into an album
to share - the last 2 years have been fairly tough but these projects kept
me motivated. I suffer from depression and use craft as my leveller.
Hope you like...

Most Successful Fabric Search by
Sherry
I ran out of fabric when I got to the end of this quilt, plus I lacked
enough for the binding. It was some fabric I'd bought last year, and
I'd already bought the rest of the bolt at LQS. Couldn't find any more
anywhere.
So I googled. A website soewhere in Texas came up named "Quiltscapes."
I...

New QI moves in! by
Kate in MI
We brought Jasmine (aka Jazz) home yesterday.
She slept QUIETLY all through the night last night in her crate. Hopefully
she'll do the same tonight.
She's really a cutie -- but after 24 hours --- I'm questioning my sanity in
taking on a new puppy! LOL
You can see her he

The store I work in (Country Sampler, Papillion and Omaha Nebraska)

for children in local oncology wards. One of our customers was
featured last night on local tv as a Heartland Hero. I agree, don't

A cool tip by
KJ
I was watching The Quilt Show online the other day and the featured teacher
was Elsie Campbell. She does a lot of hand work. There are times when
doing hand (or machine work) when you need to measure the 1/4" from the
corners. She sticks a piece of quarter inch tape to her thumbnail to use as...

When It Rains, It Pours! by
Tia Mary
Hi Guys,
Well, I didn't have anything quilty lined up for this spring and it
was nice not to have to worry about getting something put together and
ready for a specific occasion, etc. That all ended today -- BIG time --
LOL.
I found out last week that DH of one of the ladies in my...
