Selling Pottery by annemarie
I went to a weekend demonstration by Jeff Oestreich recently. http://www.studiopottery.com/potters/oestreichjeff.html In his opinion in America pottery and hand made "stuff" is popular again and selling well?? Do other Americans experience this? Hope it happens here in NZ. Annemarie

I am thinking of taking offers around the £1500 mark (they cost around £7k new, I believe - I may possibly auction it on...

It's been years since I've done any work with a kiln and I've never had my own but I recently purchased one (and am I the only freak who actually names their kiln?) and I'm wondering if I'm recalling correctly that aluminum soda cans can be used as an armature for large-ish hollow pieces? Can...

Can Anyone Identify this slipware pattern. by Craig N MacKenzie
Hi All. I've just found an old tea set - slipware apparently. I recognise it from when I was a kiddy but can't identify the style/pattern/make. Can anyone have a look and give me some advice - I'm sure it's a very obvious to those in the know. http://www.hertsweb.net/images/P1010042.JPG - 213k

Getting a sink made by new
My wife wants a large undermount bathroom sink and we can not find one at the usual (kohler etc sources) - Is that something we could get a pottery person to do? Any suggestions for who/where?

Great Lakes is OK! by Marty Kenny
I have done business with GL for over 5 years. Not only have they never been dishonest, but have given extra services not included in our formal agreements. This without even me asking. How any I could give credence to anyone who claims otherwise, is not even thinkable. I would hope that the...

I am just a newbie in clay and throwing-- just got my own wheel after taking some private lessons. My question: how can I rig up something at home for kneading the clay? I mean, should I glue some canvas to an old table, or use a staple gun to snugly attach canvas to the top of an old table, to...

lighten up people by grizzzlyadam
You people need to learn to meditate, i think staring at your monitor is affecting your brains, so you should maybe try something like working with clay, I hear it's pretty relaxing. I COULD GIVE YOU SOME LESSONS, if you'd like... Maybe get you on a potters wheel and off the slip molds.
