Looking for "Mother and Child" chart by
BGO'Rourke
Hi, Everyone! I am looking for the chart to the "Mother and Child" kit
that is always in the Needlework Shoppe catalog by Herrschners (the
child is on the mother's lap and the colors are very muted). I don't
need the entire kit. I have checked the website, but they only sell
the kit or the kit and...

Old Wives tale, wisdom or superstition? by
Susie Jordan
I started to begin a new project today to add to my short rotation.
But then an old saying that my grandmother used to say popped into my

never finish it. I then remembered when I was a very young mother
making clothes for myself...

New Survey: What do you stitch? by
wild
Hi everyone!
I´m just in a poll taking frenzy at the moment! Now I´m really
interested in what styles people like to stitch the most. I know this is
going to be really difficult, because most of us go for several
different styles, but I´d prefer it if people could answer for just ONE
in each...

Embroidery History Ramblings by

In furtherance of conversation by Rachel and Dianne. I have often proposed
that the history of embroidery is one of elemental, fundamental lineage.
What crafts/arts would have first been necessary? Pottery for cooking,
basketry for storing/gathering, flint points for hunting,...

Quilted Baby "Thing" for Grocery Cart by
Tia Mary-remove nekoluvr to reply
Hi Guys,
Well, the SMDGD is starting to sit up by herself and will soon be mobile
enough to sit in the seat of the grocery cart when DD takes her shopping. I
have seen those quilted "things" that go in the cart seat area and then you put
the baby in them and they keep the little one more secure. ...

Desparate for brooch findings! by
MBayer6363
I had a kit for a brooch where I stitched a piece and then mounted it in a
brooch (which was included in the kit). I want to do some for Christmas and not
use a kit. I have been unable to find the individual brooch findings.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!
Thanks!!
