International Packages.... by
Noreen's Knit*che
I just talked to one of my cousins, who works in Import/Export
for FedEx...
and...
she said there is some new 'threat' and that FedEx 'and' UPS
'and' USPostalService are all VERY slow in getting OUT and
getting IN international packages.
This could be why a package I sent to Cher hasn't arrived...

6x6 questions (in advance for november) by
Elsa (remove nospam to reply)
Hi,
I missed the sign up for October's 6x6, so I am asking questions so I can be
prepared for November's 6x6.
1. What materials and yarn weight do you knit the squares in? acrylic, worsted weight?
2. Are there patterns available, or should I just consult my stitch book?
3. Can we do cables or...

Vent! by
Helen \Halla\ Fleischer
This has got to be the most annoying spam to hit my mail box, yet!
Why? Because the finks used an innocuous sounding name and subject line
that made me look! Well, at the mere code version anyway, not launching it.
Thank goodness for that bit of native caution and handy feature of Agent!
Then I...

Extra Square Swaps by
JW
I just ran across this MSN group today and thought it might be of interest
to those of us on here who would like to do more than one swap in a month.
This group has an ongoing square exchange and you can do as little or as
much as you want. It's worth checking out. Seems to be well...

Some felting questions by
spampot
Lindsay's introductory thread and Els's replies about felting
gave me an idea, but as I've never done any felting before, I thought
I'd ask for some help.
Background: I'd love a pair of slippers that would be warm and
comfortable on the soles of my feet, but not heat my feet up. I had
some...

More than I thought :)
Two hairy mohair scarves (frogged the third when I found a dropped
stitch way back near the beginning)
Six caps for the Taos booth
Garter shawl, which turned out to be too small for me, so I sent it to

I'm back by
Laura
The knitting horsewoman from Santa Barbara is back. I'm typing on a
library computer since I don't have internet up yet. It could be a
long while before that happens, unfortunately. Life at the new job is
very tiring. I start at seven in the morning and finish at about six
in the evening. ...
