Opinions on Knitting Digest? by spampot
Just got an e-mail from FreePatterns.com touting this magazine. I really don't need any more temptation! But thought I'd ask here what experiences you all have had w/KD.

What is the best stiffener for crochet? by Mary
I am about to make some custom Christmas ornaments and some will need to have stiffener applied to keep a ball shape. I noticed that the type I used last time-Beacon stiffen stuff- did not hold up when I put the tie on. When the ball hung it bent out of shape. Any ideas? Don't like the sugar...

OT - '...I really think it's just a matter of time...' by Pirjo Ilvesvuori
As I told you before, I took Cetirizin. One pill only. Now I feel better. Much better. But do not jump through the ceiling too soon. I have other worries..like one certain 'guest' I must deal with. But I have used to that 'guest', so it is the smallest of my worries now. Click-click-click has went...

regarding Kitchen disasters by SlinkyToy
My mother gave me a set of melamine mixing bowls when I got my first apartment. My roomie, being the non-cooking dweeb that he was, thought they were stoneware (they were the fake white sponge over blue enamel motif) and put one in the oven. We had to replace the stove. "Noreen's Knit*che"...

I'm crocheting an afghan following a pattern in a book. The pattern is for a cardinal afghan. My problem is that I have never done multiple colors in a crocheted piece. I'm at a loss at how to do this. According to the pattern, for the first row of the chart you crochet 19 sts of white then 1...

Yes there is. They are hurting. And I must take super easy now. Super easy. I hope my time to go is not yet...but if it is...I can not deny it. Yarn: LionBrand Magic Stripes by Noreen's Knit*che
Hi fellow RCTY-er's!! Here's 'another' yarn query for you... have any of our elite bought and USED the LionBrand Magic Stripes yarn? If you have, did you only use it for socks? I'm wondering this: they sort of recommend it for socks, and show sock made with it, and it shows beautiful stripes and...
