New kitchen curtains! by
Megan Zurawicz[_3_]
Took about three weeks of evenings and weekends, and finally replaced my
"temporary" (couple of years worth) plastic tablecloth kitchen curtains
(very raggedy) with real curtains!
http://www.faloshi-studios.com/curtainkitchen.jpg
Basically, it's "summer quilt"--no batting--but done in a "quilt as...

stash reduction! by
Mary
My stash of small pieces of fabrics was getting completely out of hand
-- I refuse to start a second laundry basket of that sort of thing!
So, I've been making rag quilts -- one as a "temporary" quilt for my
bed while I work on my 100% hand-pieced and hand-quilted one for that
bed -- one as a lap...

New photos of projects by
Alice in PA[_3_]
On the last page of my Webshots Quilt album. The drunkard's path table
topper was made using a machine applique process for doing the quarter
circles. It's not the best thing I've ever made, but I hate to waste
anything, and it's perfect for my bachelor son's apartment! The Log Cabin
quilt...

My latest quilt by
IMS[_6_]
Sorry for the poor picture quality - there was so much sun in the
room! This is a quilt I made for my new office, since I work at a
college I thought a library quilt would make me look smart :) It was
a combination of 'free hand' blocks, along with some designed on EQ6,
then some of the blocks...

quilt on frame problem by
idahoqltr
I'm fairly new to machine quilting on a frame. I pinned a zigzag hug
on my Little Gracie II this week. The borders are lined up nicely but
the center has way too much fullness to lay straight. I think it is
because of all the bias edge seams thoughout. Is there a good trick
to get it to lay...

Anyone have a favorite new quilting book? by
Polly Esther[_5_]
Wonderfully Whimsical Quilts by Carol Burniston was a recent and delightful
gift. I'm having a happy time doing her Sheep in Dreamland. Love the book.
I just LOVE it. She calls it 10 playful projects to make you smile. After
getting burial wraps off to Newborns in Need - those of mine and...

Black, White and Red All Over by
Louise in Iowa[_2_]
Several years ago, I took part in a swap with other RCTQers. We were each given a piece of red and white
fabric and were to put our own black and white fabrics with it. Each of us then had 16 blocks. I FINALLY
finished mine. It's in my 2010 Quilts folder (I should have put it in 2007, 2008, 2009,...

Directory is in progress by
AliceW
Just like several quilts I have are WIPs, so is the Directory. My plan at
this point is to have it published by the end of June if not sooner, but I
can't commit to more than that at this time. I owe everyone a stiff apology
for the delay but events related to my mother have taken the highest...

Woo Hoo another quilt is finished! by
dealer83
Awhile ago, this pattern link was posted here, forgive me I can't
remember who posted it but, it's a Moda bakeshop recipe called Sweet
Menagerie by Roslyn Mirrington. I decided to use many of my Moda
scraps to make my own version. The directions were wonderfully easy
and it went together in a...

Hi! This is Kate in MI -- and I'm writing from Rouen, Normandy,

My husband (Bob) and I will be returning to spend a few days in Paris
-- and if I know where a fabric shop is... he has promised we can seek
it out!
So please -- if anyone has any...

Batting and Batt-Mart by
IEZ[_2_]
Does anyone here buy batting by the roll, and if so where? I have
previously bought rolls of 48" wide batting to use in quillows from JoAnne.
The batting I bought from JoAnn's website before was low loft 3 oz.
batting. Reading their site recently I saw that people were complaining
about the...

Quilt Magazines ..... they're eating my space up by
Sunny[_2_]
I have let all but three of my quilt magazine subscriptions expire in
the past 6 months. Now I have to figure out how to cull out the past
issues. What to keep? How to catalog? (are you kidding? i would never
catalog anything.....I'd lose interest and start doodling pictures on
the covers and...

Dear all,
I'm on furlough from hospital and have run out of UFO's I can do
there. So need to set up a new project. I want to use this fabric as
the backing, but I can't find it anywhere. Does anybody recognize it
and perhaps know the...

OT Polly's Serger Thread by
Bobbie Sews More
While you were making the little quilts, did you get a chance to change the
thread on your serger? Was it a little easier this time? Sure hope so.
You had some good suggestions from different friends a week ago.

Wow! It has been awhile since I've posted anything, but I have been
reading along the way.
I took classes for two semesters at our local college and as the
second semester was coming to an end I became sick with a cold and my
fibro flared up so bad I decided I'd taken on too much and needed...
