chair cushion pattern wanted by
TracingMyRoots
Someone at my quilt guild brought a very nice chair cushion that she
made....but she forgot where she got the pattern. She put the cushion on a
folding chair. The cushion had foam in the seat & in the back, & the whole
thing was covered with fabric.
So when you sat on the metal folding...

American Girl Patterns by
Jessica V.
My now 10 y/o DD loves American Girl dolls. I know that Pleasant
Company once made patterns for doll clothes. Does anyone know if they
ever made patterns for girls clothes? I think I'd seen patterns for
girls clothing in the late 80s or early 90s catologs, but maybe I'm just
thinking I did. ...

pattern storage by
DKiely33
What is the best way to store patterns that have already been used, cut and
will be used again?
I'm going to be setting up a little sewing area and would like to know how to
set it up correctly from the start.
Would an art store be useful for storage options?
Thanks, :)

Nevtex Patterns by
Joy Hardie
Have any of you tried sewing with "Nevtex" patterns? They make some
dance leotard and ball gowns...and John Travolta catsuits for men.
Just wondering if they work out nicely and how the fit is.

Ruched Sash--How to make? by
Taloola
I am making sashes for bride's maids in my daughter's wedding. She has
seen a picture of a "Ruched Sash" and would like that style. It looks
like it has small pleats or tucks but I am not sure how you would do
this. The description says that the sash is 4.5" wide. I have a lot
of sewing...

Selling at Craft Markets by
lukus
Hi
I've started designed and making cushions, which I'd like to have a go
at selling on a market stall.
Has anyone got any experience / recommendations about selling on any of
the craft markets in London (UK). At the moment I'm thinking about
using either a Thursday / Friday, as I've heard it's...

Looking for seamstress/creating patterns from photos by
[email protected]
Greetings:
I'm interested in a way to locate a seamstress who would be able to
copy a clothing design from a photo. The woman at the local tailor shop
said that its fairly easy to do....but time-consuming and thus she
wasn't interested in taking on the project.
Any assistance in pointing me in...

With Irene's help, I was able to set up a slide show with some of my

Fashions for the Cloth Doll. She and all her clothes have since gone
to Colorado with my granddaughter. If you have time, please visit.

Fool proof serger? by
[email protected]
I have a Hobbylock 788 or something like that- and I feel that I have
to mess with it a LOT! to get it to work. something is always getting
messed up and yesterday it swallowed some fabric and jabbed holes in it
with the arm that holds one of the looper threads. Most annoying.
Any suggestions...

Meditation robe by

Does anybody have any links to sewing patterns for Zen Meditation
Robes. I have looked on the net and nothing seems to come up. I would
prefer something that is purposeful and specific to that style but if
necessary I could modify something else although that is not as
desirable. Thanks.

Regarding sergers (since we're talking about them)... by
Trish Brown
Can anyone tell me a quick easy way to *unpick* my serging? The two ways
I've done it to date a i) cut the #(%&*%^stuff off and ii) try to
pull out the needle threads and the rest just falls off. Sometimes,
neither of these ways works as well as I'd like (especially method (ii):
