hello everyone! Just thought I'd pop in and mention a few things. I'm almost
finished with a pair of socks. I wasn't sure who they would be for, but
after the whole family tried the finished one on, they fit DS#1, so he gets
this pair. I have finished 3 hats for Ship Support this month (two...

Buying needles online by
bibe
Has anyone here bought knitting needles from an online store? Is so, what
was the store and what was your experience with that store? I haven't had
much luck winning bids on ebay for needles, so am looking to buy online.
Thanks.

Its a curse, I tell ya! by
Slinky
So I started this lace shawl. Knitted the edging, no problem. The
main ground is "Trellis-Framed Leaf", Barbara Walker's first treasury.

to speak.
Row 2, the first pattern row, went swimmingly. Row 4 left me with two

Washing wools by
Karen in MN
How do you all wash your wools?
I wash EVERYTHING before putting it together and when I'm finished -- even
though I wash my hands before I pick up my knitting, it's amazing how much
dirt / oil comes out of them when they're washed. I have always
handwashed -- soaked in Woolite, rolled it in a...

Peeeee-eeeeww by
Slinky
Have I mentioned that a gal at my vet's office is also a dog groomer?
She gave me a bunch of poodle fur a while back and I finally got
around to doing something with a bit of it today.
I'm giving it back to her. In the first place it positively reeks.
In the second place it is full of dust and...

Article Dangerous Items on Planes by

Knitting needles are mentioned.
A sidebar to the right lists items air travelers are allowed to carry
including "knitting and...
