Cool Garage sale find by
Roberta
My mother, daughters and I have made it sort of a tradition to "do" garage
sales in the wee hours of the morning. I shop mostly for clothing - for the
girls. Today I happened upon a really cool thing :)
I found a quilt hanger - not sure what else to call it.
It is very long and has little knobs...

invisible machine applique by
Sharon Gates
I took a class in invisible machine applique this afternoon - I think it may
be addictive :-) I really enjoyed it..The teacher was very good and she
chose a very simple tulip applique. I am really excited to try something
else.

Earlier today I spilled a thing of pins off my sewing table... all silver

Ping: Trish C. by
off kilter quilter
Thank you thank you thank you!! I was able to educate DS on the
differences between US Cadbury and overseas Cadbury - told him the US
stuff sucks, and to always try to get some from either Australia or the
UK grin. Needless to say, he only had a tiny little bit and was back
asking for more. ...

Exciting find and question about vintage machine by
silverbells
I have been looking around at yardsales lately. I decided to step in to
an estate sale and I found a Singer 319W there. I paid $55 for the
machine, a table, and quite a few accessories. The table is not
original to the machine (I don't think- but I'm not an expert.)
She needs to be cleaned up. ...

Terbear Swappers BCA quilt #1 by
Terbear
I bought a bolt (not a full bolt) of BCA fabric, and lots of swappers
offered to make blocks so we can make a quilt, that can be auctioned off for
breast cancer research....I got so many blocks, enough to make TWO quilts.
Well, I just finished up quilt top number one, and will be working on...

LOL at Joann Fabric! by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
All the auto manufacturers are offering new car buyers their "employee
discount" on their television commercials. I just got an email from
Joann Fabrics telling me I can get *their* employee discount of 15%
off. Sheesh! I'd much rather have a new pick-up truck!

Hanging Wild Quilt by
Joan
I did too want to make the queen size quilt. I did. Only....only after I
began and I saw what it looked like, I had some doubts. Oh, all right, I
had more than a few doubts, but I plunged ahead. Oh, well, it kept my mind
off the election and Popser had something to write about.

Fat Quarter Quilting Book by
Boca Jan
Can anyone recommend a good fat quarter quilting book? I have several
bunches of matching fat quarters and think I could make a nice quilt out of
each, but I'm too lazy this close to Christmas to design them myself.
Thanks!

Dear Gator's. I am sending you a new VAMPIRE to eat and I want you to mince
them finely before scarfing. Seems like they MESSED up the blood I gave on
Mon. So Thurs, I tentatively have to go back for another poke.

Path Through Jerusalem by
NightMist
I've a notion to make my mom a quilt.
I know that this is a hazard, being as how she generally has always
felt about homemade, but there you go.
I was thinking of a Path Through Jerusalem quilt, problem being that I
haven't seen one for at least 20 years, though I saw several as a kid
traveling...

More about angles by

Remember that Jinny Beyer quilt ("Mayflowers") that I was trying to
figure out the angles? The one that's $172 in a kit?
Well, you can't buy the pattern online (they said they're working on
getting patterns onto their website), but you CAN order just the pattern
by phone. I called the toll-free...
