Tia Mary's All Saints Store in Glasgow by
Michelle G.
I found this website, and think it must be the store you visited in Glasgow.
Looks very interesting! The last trip my late husband and I took was to
Scotland and Northern Ireland. It was wonderful!
Here's the link: http://www.allsaints.com/store_locator/

Storing Batting, part II by
Polly Esther[_5_]
The roll of batting arrived. Ha. I was expecting something about the size
of the water tower in Mayberry.
What a ninny I was. It's really not That big or heavy. It will sit
neatly between the bookcase in my sewing room and the wall. That spot is
now occupied by Yogi's box. Yorkies must...

Sewing Machines as Commerciasl Decor!!! by
Tia Mary
Hi Guys,
Just home from the 2 1/2 weeks spent in Ireland & Scotland. Had a
truly lovely time -- of course -- and even managed to find a quilt shop
in The far northern reaches of Ireland in Co. Donegal just outside of
Dunfanaghy! It's run by an American woman who retired up there with her...

St. Cloud MN Annual Quilting Show by
R. E. Wicker
I am still reeling from the outstanding workmanship put in to the
A-one quilts shown in the ballroom in the adjoining hotel. The
non-judged quilts in the regular showrooms with the ventors were good
also. It would seem that most of them were machine quilted. Most
of the exceptions to this were...

I've been busy -- 2 new quilts by
Bronnie[_2_]
1. I got another commission this month from one of my tennis club
ladies (third in total) for a baby quilt.
Just the sort of client you want --" whatever design you come up with
(I love all your quilts), pastel colors, whatever cost!"
It was great fun to make over 2 weeks. Got a few ideas...

Earthquake in Canada by

Anyone here live close to the Ontario - Quebec border region where the
earthquake was? Please report in when you are able. From what I read there
wasn't much to it, but then I guess you would have had to be there-----

OT That Bird by
NightMist
You know, that bird that starts singing at the top of it's lungs at four
in the morning.
DH and I got into a mildly amusing discussion about it's gender.
I hold that it must be male. No sane female is up at that hour unless a
kid is squalling, in which case if they are singing it is quietly and...

Vintage fabric by
Cindy Schmidt
Before I left Missouri, I was given a huge bag of all cotton fabrics. I
have finally gotten around to seeing exactly what is in there. Several
yardages so far but there are a couple in there that I'm not sure what I can
do with.
This will be kind of hard to describe. All cotton, pink flowers...

cleaning wee shreds of threads by
Mary
I just finished a fairly large rag quilt, ran it through the washer
and dryer twice at the laundromat, shook it as well as I could, and
brought it home. Well, it STILL had lots of tiny wisps of threads all
over, and the hand-vacuum wouldn't pick them up. However, I happened
to see the thing I use...

Seeking recommendation for sewing machine extension table by
- dlm.
Hello!
I own an Elna 6003 Quilters Dream sewing machine. My sewing table is
nothing more than a flat desk with the SM sitting on top. I've always
had difficulty with free-motion quilting, so I've decided to take
another class. One of my not-so-local QS recommends the use of an
extension table...
