A Christmas Top Done! by
Diana Curtis
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/lunamom44/my_photos in the quilts folder, the
first picture you will see the first top I completed this year. As the
description says most of the fabrics came from the Christmas fabric swap
Wendy hosted late in 2004. A quick Ebay hunt turned up this sleepy...

The QI conspiracy - Kinda OT by
handmaiden
I get up today early enough that I can start work on a quilt (finally)
and start pulling fabric out in preparation to cut. What happens? The
QI's both decide it's midnight madness time and proceed to act like race
cars... followed by a toss the fabric contest. Thought I'd close them up
in the room?...

Mystified One
This is from our December party. We gave 150 quilts to Project Linus. The
rest of the quilts are show and tell, and one for Block of the month.

OT replying kindly by
Polly Esther
I don't know what is considerate here. Please help me. There have been many
comments about not seeing, receiving, getting this post or that reply.
When I climb in somewhere with my two cents, is it kind of me to leave
in or wipe out all that came before. I know that some of you have limited
time on...

Block of the month series begins by
KI Graham
The first block for the new Bible Block series
"Sampler of Psalms" is available at:
http://members.shaw.ca/kigraham
Don't be spooked: this is the centre block of the quilt, and is the most
complicated. Take a couple of days to do it: we're sure you'll find it goes
together quite easily. Don't...

OT Why? by
KJ
Why is it that when you get a closet organized and cleaned, you can't get
everything back in? I'm getting all my holiday boxes reorganized and a big
storage closet neatened. BUUUUUUT there's almost as much stuff waiting for
a space as there is in the almost filled closet! GRRRRRR Can...

Changing tastes? by
Lisa Ellis
I walked into my LQS this weekend and my friend who works there said she
had some quilt blocks for me...another friend had given them to her, to
pass on to me. There were block of the month blocks, from 1995. The
reason our friend decided to give them to me was that I had lusted after
them. The...

Rulers by
teleflora
I know this has been discussed before, but I refuse to retain information
unless I need it. :-) I am in a position of being able to replace my old
rulers with (hopefully) one brand that will have consistent measurements. I
have such an assortment of sizes and shapes and really the only ones I...

Vacation of the Iguana by
Julia Altshuler
I've been in Miami watching my brother get married which he did in the
nicest possible way to someone terrific. He's divorced with 2 kids, and
she's divorced with 2 kids. Me being me, I don't think of the inherent
difficulties with this sort of blended family; I think of the...

desired thread by
theys
What thread do you prefer to machine piece your quilts??? And where
do you buy it??? What weight is the best???? I am starting my
wedding gift and need some thread. I'd like to use all-cotton but
can't find a fine thread. All I have is for quilting, much heavier
than for piecing, IMHO. I've...

Fabric - the gift that keeps on giving.... by
Johanna Gibson
I found a half-yard of pastel blue with yellow flowers the other
day, when I was ironing. I am sure this was a squishie from some
kind, caring person, because pastels do not follow me home as a rule.
This fabric is perfect for the baby quilt I am now preparing to cut
out. What would I do without...

OT crockpot question by
Elizabeth Young
KJ wrote this a few days ago
I've done it again. I've lost something that HAS to be in my house....or
maybe not?! I guess I could have accidentally thrown it away. Anyway, just
before Christmas I treated myself to a new crockpot. One of those big ones
(6-6.5 qt)from Sam's that also had...

Toastmasters speech - not OT by
Brian Christiansen
I have decided to make my next Speech in Toastmasters about quilting. I
don't know how many people here are members of toastmaster's, but I would
think that some here have some heard of it and have some idea what it it and
does. Anyway, I thought about it a bit when driving home, then wrote down...

Clean Out your scraps box by

I was thinking of mailing out a "Clean out your scraps box". I've seen this
done here a few times but have never participated. (I mail a box of scraps
to one person, they take what they want and add their own and send off to
the next person.)
Is anybody interested in this?
