Designer Must-See:Kleibacker online/narrow bias tubes by

I started off at Thread's mag, reading 'Charles Kleibacker:
Celebrating an American Original', then segued into a 'showing' of his
designs at www.kent.edu/fashion.
Sort of a retrospective of a show which was held at the Page Palmer
Gallery from early 2001 to 2002, titled: 'Charles Kleibacker:...

absolutely amazing. There is a photo of a yellow and black, pieced,

the model/designer, (who...

update on cousin by

Got an email from my cousin's husband. The breathing tube is out, and she
can talk, weak as she is, but everything looks good for her, so it is just a
matter of time for her rehabilitation.
I want to thank each and every one of you here, for the prayers, The Lord

thread tension underneath the fabric. Each time I change my Elna 744

Stabilizing buttonholes in bias top by

I recently made a jumper where I cut the bodice on the bias to better utilize
the stripe in the material. I then made buttonholes in the front of the jumper
and the ones on the bias part became stretchy. What would you experts suggest
to stabilize buttonholes on bias fabrics? Also, when lining a...

Help finding costuming book please by

There was a book I used to love to check out from the library, a big, thick
book with gold color cover, and tons of black and white drawings of garments
throughout history. It seemed to be a fairly new book in the early 70s.
Does this ring any bells with anyone? I can not remember the name or...

Stitch Witchery REMOVAL by
gouda
Help! I used Stitch Witchery to add a border on a skirt, which I have
subsequently removed from the skirt. The inside hem now has leftover
Stitch Witchery all over it, which has generated giant snags in my
brand new pantyhose!
How on earth do I remove this stuff???
Thanks!

Opinions wanted on best sewing machine for beginner by
QuiltShopHopper
Hello,
I want to sew cotton clothes, quilts, and light sewing. I have a Riccar
that doesn't work well: I can't get the quilt sandwich under the walking
foot without a fight, and then it won't sew correctly through the quilt
sandwich, so I end up making up new curse words just for this machine. ...
