ATTN: Get it Done'rs.... by
Kate G.
I think the database is complete -- please over the next week - 10 days stop
in and take a look -- be sure that your entries are correct. I tried to
watch that all entries met our 120 inch requirement so if you submitted
something that isn't listed... that's probably why!
I did let one "small"...

Foam board design wall questions by
Kathy Applebaum
Well, I'm finally getting more done in the new sewing room. (Fabric closet
cleaned, caulked, and painted; shelving 90% installed.) Now I'm working on
design wall options. It occurred to me that I need multiple moveable massive
design walls. (I was going to say "large", but the alliteration struck...

Need suggestions with design of sewing/stitching room by
Marianne Teubner
My DH and I are just starting the exploration of building our dream
retirement house and I am going to have a bedroom to use as my
sewing/stitching room. Today, as we discussed some of the house plans in a
book we are studying, we measure out one room that is 12 X 11 and decided
that the Koala...

Quilting fabric in Paris? by
Mary Kay Mullen
My niece is going to run in the Paris Marathon on April 10. My sister ( a
quilter) is going with her. Not to run, tho. Is there someplace in Paris
that she could but some quilting fabric? I would like to give her some
money to buy me some fabric from Paris. Mary Kay

Warning, not sure if they are 100% cotton or if you'll like the quality,

rug out of denim by
Julia in MN
Lots of info on rag rugs at http://www.netw.com/~rafter4/. Probably more
than you wanted to know :)
My mom used to have a large floor loom that she used for weaving rag
rugs. She used all kinds of old clothing and sheets for her rugs. Those
were the best rugs -- strong, sturdy, laid nice and flat....

Sewing Studio by
frood
Ok, as I've sort of mentioned in other posts, I'm finally getting a sewing
studio! Currently, most of my sewing things are in the corner of my bedroom.
Quilting is done in the parlour, ironing in the bathroom, and cutting is
done at the dining table. Some days I get quite an aerobic workout!
The...

Dear quilters,
I remember last Easter I had one of my granddaughters, Erica,
stand in for me in the Senion Choir at church. I was so grateful to
have her care so much. Through the year of trying to get well, I have
had to with draw from the choir all together, and infact from that
church as the...

I'm right here. I had to move last summer because of all kinds of reasons,
mostly health and lost my sewing room. Had to get rid of LOTS of things that
I had become quite attached to, like my grandmother's bed and my mangle
Ironrite ironer and Lord knows how much stash and craft stuff and two...

flooded quilt shop? by
Taria
DD hollered "quilt shop" when the news was on earlier.
Story was about rain/flooding in the southeast and there
it was a sign that said quilt shop in standing water.
Not sue if just the sign got it or the shop too.
I guess dd's new glasses really are good!
Taria, hoping no quilters are being flooded
