OT - Long Shot by Bob & Carol
I am trying to 'put a name' to a needlework craft that I had seen some time ago. It used - usually - a white loose weave fabric or base. The you took thread?? and either wound or knotted or looped or something through the base to create a picture, or name on the base. This looks a lot like...

Pattern help by Bob & Carol
I see that Herschnerr's catalog has a pattern for a shrug with Caron yarn on the first page. It says that that pattern is on the yarn sleeve. Anyone have this pattern and would like to share a copy? They don't sell this yarn in my area. (I'd buy one skein for the pattern) thanks C

Thanks! by Bob & Carol
I just want to say thank you to the member who shared that she kept her circular needles in sheet protectors in a three-ring binder. It's finally raining and I organized mine today....it is so organized and can be put away neatly. Thanks to someone out there!! Carol

Felting by Bob & Carol
I am going to attempt my first felting (actually fulling) project....how much wool content does the yarn need to felt (full) properly. I've been told that's is felted when you wash the yarn before knitting and fulled when you wash the yarn after so the notations just in case I was incorrectly...

Felting Help by Bob & Carol
Knitting the purse pattern in the new Knitty. I knitted the swatch then it says to wash it in hot water and record the time -- for the real thing. However, I don't know where to start on time would a normal wash cycle do the trick? I am using Lamb's Pride.

Felting Question by Bob & Carol
Well I made the felted purse in Knitty -- purple and green. I used the actual yarn in the pattern and after felting I have a bag about the size of a lunch bag, no where near the 8" x 4" in the pattern. What would have caused this? I know that I knit tighter than the average person...could...

Modular Knitting by Bob & Carol
Have a few questions about the recent discussion. Just completed my first entrelac pattern (a shrug). Really like the look of the pattern but not all the picking up of stitches -- time consuming. REading posts about the modular knits I interpreted that you don't have to pick up stitches nor do...

Alligator by Bob & Carol
Hello all!! I am currently knitting the Stuffed Pond Alligator from Lion Brand....it calls for shank buttons for eyes and nose. Since I am knitting this for a grandson I thought that knitted eyes and nose would be safer; however, I am great at following patterns and really suck at trying to...

Shrugs by Bob & Carol
Help! I saw a shrug that was probably a link from this newsgroup. It was purple (I think) and looked like it was knitted from cuff-to-cuff. It has loose sleeves. Anyone remember this and could you please reprint the link? Thanks, Carol

Pattern Dog Coat by Bob & Carol
Help....looking a quick knit dog coat (it's for a Jack Russell so any pattern will be quick) where you do not have to put he dogs legs through 'sleeves', just one that basically secures under the belly.
