OT ~ Some humor for your day! by Mj
This is *very* funny! I love it when people poke at serious things with humor! ********************************************* This is hilarious! Seriously! Just follow the instructions, CAREFULLY....and then read CAREFULLY. 1. Go to www.google.com 2. Type in "weapons of mass destruction"...

question: Finishing off loom work, and other beadweaving projects. by Christina Peterson
For daisy chains, I string a "clam" end tip before (to the inside of) the lasp bead, tie a knot around the last bead (sometime glue it), and close the "clam" around the last bead and the knot. These clams are like two halves of a ball/bead, with a hole in the "hinge" in between, and with a hook...

"Pattern Perfect"??? by JM
Hi; I am trying to find the website for Pattern Perfect. There is a woman who has been at a few bead shows here in Portland, Oregon as a vendor. She sells mylar sheets with a delica pattern on them. You can color your design on the mylar pattern and then wrap it around a tubular form and bead...

Question - Bead Loom by Dr. Sooz
I find off-loom beadweaving much more fun, and variable, and creative. Loom-weaving isn't as flexible, IMO, creatively. And if you're going to buy a loom, get a Larry The Loom -- that's what all my loom-weaving pals say. They bemoan the money spent (wasted!) on any other looms they bought before...

New Tool, Big Difference by Rachel T.
I am now the proud owner of a pair of crimpers. I just *had* to try them out last night, so I grabbed my crystal car baubble and crimped the tubes. Surprisingly easy, but now it's kind of screwed up. LOL This was only the second time I've used tube crimps. The first time they broke. Anyway, they...

Cinnabar, AGAIN... by SuzanneHye
I've lost the original thread to the cinnabar question - oh well - anyway, several people mentioned that today's cinnabar is carved wood which has been lacquered (or carved resin.) The Bead Society of Greater Washington, at their twice-annual bead bazaar, has a bead i.d. table. One year they had...
