Just one knitter here by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Here I am again. One dark grey square with garter stith is
done. Rather little, I know, but I was up last night and
slep almost all day and now I am up again. Knitting goes on.
There is one orange-yellow square on needles. Can not
describe it any better, but the receiver will see it when
the time...

6X6 - update case by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Well Aud...your squares are packed and ready to go. I am
just waiting for a chance to put them into the mailbox. That
slippy weather makes me crazy. I hate 'the weather of angry
mr. Freeze', as I call it. It makes my poor lungs frosty. I
walk very slowly then. But also when weather is like it...

Technique to 'rip' a few rows by
Bibe
Is there a special technique to rip away a few rows? I am knitting a hat
in the round, and it is a quite a few rows too long. Instead of just
taking my needles out and pulling gently on the yarn until I have undone
a few rows, are there any other techniques? I am currently on circular
needles, but...

Artchick - question by
SlinkyToy
I also spin, but I don't let it prevent me buying yarn occasionally
(or not-so-occasionally). It seems you use only your handspun - why
is that? Budget considerations, or are you the "ultimate yarn snob"?

Phew...finished by
Cher
I thought I was never going to get my holiday/xmas knitting done, but the
two little afghans for two of my g/daughters are now ready to wrap. One in
Pink and one in Mauve as pleaded for. Only crocheted, and it wasn't that
which took the time, it was the putting on of the fringes. Cutting down...

Q for Karen MN by
SlinkyToy
How long did it take you to do your L1 COE stuff?
And I just had a look at the website - I can't see an Aran using 3
different colors. A FI maybe, but an Aran? I'm having Lily Chin
meets Nicki Epstein nightmares just from the thought...
Maybe they mean three different cable patterns???

sorted my patterns! by
Mary
After rummaging around without easy success in locating a pattern
book, I decided to sort them all out, catagorize them, and put them
into accordion folders, which I even labeled! I have patterns to fill
almost 4 shelf feet, which is a whole lot, but armload at a time I
brought them up from the...

Question: 6x6 squares? by
Artchick
I keep hearing about 6x6 squares, and I must have missed the original post
about it - I'm clueless. Could someone explain what's up with the 6x6
thing? I'd sure appreciate it!

Q for Helen by
SlinkyToy
Was it you who used unspun 3-ply Lopi to weave on a tri-loom? Lord
knows I've got enough projects, but I'm thinking of putting some twist
in an adequate amount of this 3-ply Lopi I have and weaving with it.
Care to comment on the AMOUNT of twist I might need to make it hold
together as I drag it...
