I finished it! by
Helen Hansen-Pye
Hi all
I finished the table centre I have been working on. It's huge, I dont think
it will fit on the chest I was going to put it on :( Never mind, one can
never have too much crochet!
I have started the sock journey and have already decided that the pattern I
have is not going to fit...

Pattern deciphering by
Sorceress
I'm working on a new project and the directions are -- to put it kindly --
less than crystal clear. Tell me what you folks think.....
=============================
The pattern stitch is defined:
Multiple of 4 + 1
R.S. K1 (P1, K3) to the end
W.S. P1 (K1, P3) to the end

Michele,
Haven't seen you here in a while, but hope you still occasionally READ!
Listen, I've just learned of a craft fair coming up April 18th in Columbia
KY, and depending on distance and price for booths, I MIGHT be up there....
How far is that from YOU, and would there be a chance to...

Crochet Nylon by
LLWeisse
I recently picked up two skeins of a yarn/thread equivalent to J & P Coats
Crochet Nylon. Does anyone know of purse patterns using this yarn? I do
already have the small one skein bag patterns. Also, I both knit and
crochet.

My church group is having a "South of The Border" theme party on May 7.
We want to make "Hot Sauce Mexican Man" crocheted items to give to
each person attending. We have one to use as a pattern, but I wondered
if anyone has the pattern all ready to start crocheting. I am trying to
count stitches...

Rebekah cotton thread by
LLWeisse
Has anyone worked with this? It gives a suggest hook size of H. I only
bought one ball. Any suggestions? Also, no size is given as to the thread
itself except to say that it is heavyweight cotton thread.

Delurking to introduce myself by
Helen Hansen-Pye
Hello everyone,
I just thought I'd pop my head above the parapet and introduce myself. I
have been a semi-regular on r.c.t.q for the past 4 or 5 years and have
finally found you lot!
I enjoy most handcrafts, and for the past couple of years have been totally
into my yarn crafts! I enjoy knitting...

Blocking by
Laura
Hi group,
After lurking for a while, I thought I would post my question - never
have figured this one out.
I started knitting in 1981 and blocked exactly one of my projects (the
first one). I've never blocked anything else, and they always turn
out just fine. Am I missing something here?
Also,...

Hi everyone,
Meegan is joining the 6x6 exchange for April and I will be her partner. She was

Brain-fart continued: mitered triangular shawl by
Noreen's Knit*che
If I could scan a drawing and post what I'm after here, I would, but we
can't do that here.
I want a miter in the middle... and I want it triangular, but NOT a perfect
one... I want it to ... decrease in the middle enough to 'dip'... I'm just
not describing it right. An emergency phone call to Mom...
