Pincushions by
Marcella Peek
I have been side tracked from quilting to make some pincushions. I
don't know what has gotten into me, but all I've wanted to do is make
pincushions.
I've been making 3" churn dash blocks. Added piping around the edge. I
was given a Piping Trimming Tool by Susan...

Squish everyone! by
Betsy Ross
So many here wanted to squish our
European members, but email from Europe
said thank you but it really isn't
necessary. Since when was a squishie
necessary?
I didn't mean to isolate a squish
between US and Europe. We could squish
South Africa. We could squish New
Zealand. Heck, we could squish

sewing cabinets by
Taria
Someone asked about sewing tables I have been trying to
come up with a good idea for when I go over to a dedicated
sewing room.
If you go to google images and search sewing cabinets
or sewing tables there are lots of ideas to see and
sort through. Some beautiful custom ones and some
unique ones...

last couple of days, so I went back to my "Simple Pleasures" file and
reread all the ones from before. They sure do help a lot Pat and I
can't tell you how grateful I was for that thread!
So how bout it anyone? Got any new...

I want to make a pastel scrap quilt which consist of nine patches with

My dilemma is what to use for the background. I started to use a muslin but
now am not so sure. I researched the newsgroup for...

walking foot necessary? by
cozyhomelife
It's possible to make anything without any tools, but truthfully, the tools
are there to cut down on problems, and no one wants problems. To buy one
you have to know whether your machine has a high or low shank, though (I
think I said that right, someone correct me if I said it wrong, as it's...

What goes with this? by
Polly Esther
I know there are no rules. You know that if I knew the rules I would
likely find a way to break them but I am so puzzled. There's a totally
dazzling Bali here - absolutely a riot of lime, rust, emerald, peach and
others. I've never pieced with Bali before and don't have any clue what
would be...

Happy Dance - Paper Pieced Star Quilt by
Liz MacDonald
Hi all,
Join me in a happy dance for a completed quilt.
One of my choir groups is celebrating its 60th season, so we're fund
raising. I made a quilt from Carol Doak's 300 Paper Pieced Quilt
Blocks. The block size was scaled up to the maximum that would print on
standard paper, so it went together...

Cape and hat for carolers by
She in PA
I was asked to make a simple cap and hat for 3 carolers at my church. I was
thinking of using polar fleece for the cape. Cutting a semi circle kind of
and making a casing at the neck leaving about 4 inch for a ruffled collar.
Then for the hat I was going to use some old velvet I have with a...

OT-Hotels/Motels in Des Moines Area by
joan8904 in Bellevue Nebraska
We're going to a concert on Dec 9th in West Des Moines (Val Air
Ballroom). Is anyone here familiar with the area? I'd like a nice (no
Super 8's for this girl!) hotel/motel fairly close to the venue. Also,
any recommendations for quilt stores? :
