I am delighted! I just got a $10 gift certificate for Sewing Salon. I just
placed my order. This is fun!!!
I know that last time there were a couple of you that won gift certificates
and decided not to use them. If any of you feel that way again - I would be
most grateful if you decided to...

Californians by
Bonnie Patterson
So as not to be outdone by all the redneck, hillbilly, and Texan
jokes, you know you're from California if:
1. Your coworker has 8 body piercings and none are visible.
2. You make over $300,000 and still can't afford a house.
3. You take a bus and are shocked at two people carrying on...

How do I assemble large quilts? by
Damian Appert
I'm making a quilt-top size 90 in. by 120 in. but I don't know how to
assemble the three layers to obtain a smooth product.
Would a quilting frame be of any help in assembly and if so what are some
hints on how to go about it?
Any other ideas? Thanks!
DA

OT Pup update by

Thank you all for the kind words and thoughts. It means so
much to me. Well, good thing I am not a doctor. She seems
to be ok in the hip dept. They are not perfect but pretty
ok. They are not her problem. It is her knees. She has
bad knees. I guess like a trick knee. They need fixed.

Ok, so it's only $12.50 in a gift certificate (does it count that I
live in the US and the shop is in Canada?), but I won something!
Anyone else here win a neat prize?

Ironing board issues by
Tricia
Hi Hi!
Due to space and height issues, I had to get one of those half ironing
boards that hang on the back of a door. the foam mat with it SUCKS! I
thought I saw in here something about recovering ironing boards with
something and then muslin (?) so that they worked well.
Please assist -- I use...

Piped bindings by
Sandy Foster
Several days ago, Marcella mentioned how much fun she was having using
binding on some adorable little pin cushions. I just received the Winter
edition of American Quilter magazine, and Susan Cleveland (she's the one
who made the tool Marcella and I both have) has an article beginning on
page 20...

Foundation scrap idea by
Susan Laity Price
This is an old trick but some of our newer quilters might not be
familiar with the technique. This is how I plan to use the leftovers
from the tree skirt I made yesterday.
The number and size of the foundation pieces can vary. I am giving you
my directions but you can use this technique to make...

OT - Jo's Seasonal Chuckle by

In Russia there lived a man named Rudolf. He and his wife had
several children and, one day while getting everyone dressed and out

A while back I had asked for help finding mylar templates for berries...

karate block by
susiemw
Hi all,
I'm looking to make a small block or two with a karate character on it.
It can be paper piecing or applique or anything else you can come up
with.
I know I've seen one floating around some place but now that I need it
I can't find it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
