Bummed! by
KJ
I just made my bananna bread recipe and was starting some chocolate chip
cookies when I realized I used cornstarch instead of baking soda in my
bread!!!! Boo hoo! I'm starting to make a lot of goofups when cooking. I
just don't pay attention....I was watching the Wimbledon final at the same
time....

Quilt for ME by
Jalynne
Ok, it's been forever since I posted or asked for updates. Sorry about
that....life gets crazy, you know. Anyway...I hand pieced the batting
last night, and am prepping the backing and top for basting today, right
now, in fact. Maybe I can finally get pix of it in the next day or so.
Since it's...

Looking for Bunny "Tapestry" Wallhanging Pattern by
Janet of Gar
Hiya,
About a year or so ago, I bought a magazine with a pattern for a wallhanging
that
featured a crouching bunny on a multi-floral background that looked like a
tapestry.
The rabbit was appliquéd on and I think the body was 2 or 3 pieces.
I think the magazine was _not_ QM, QNM, or one of the...

Baby birds at our house. by
nana2b
A family of Swallows have taken up residence under the eaves by our family
room window. 4 babies (dubbed the Beatles) are growing bigger every day.
The parenting skills are amazing. Before they were hatched, Mom sat on the
nest at night and Dad sat on the ledge to keep her company. I think...

Do these books need to be read in any particular order? I can't seem to
find out. Thanks for the recommendations on these authors! Now I just need

IMHO WonderRuler by
The Larsons
The most wonderful quilting tool that I have purchased is the wonder
ruler....I did have a discussion with one of the designers of the ruler and
asked her why they cut their fabric the way they do tho. According to their
directions they cut strips on the crosswise grain and then begin...I 'm...

Shop hop by

Can someone explain what a shop hop is? I got fabric at my LQS yesterday and
they said they just finished one. The line behind me was long so I figured I
could get the scoop here.

OT-Boys found in trunk of car by
AliceW
I don't know how many of you would have heard about the three boys from
Camden, NJ who went missing two-almost three days ago. This town is only a
few miles Two of the boys were cousins, ages 11 and 6, and the third was a
friend of theirs, aged 5. The town has been turned upside-down looking...

Thangles by
the black rose
Anybody who's used these -- thoughts? experiences? feedback?
My thoughts -- tried 'em today because I need to make 160 half square
triangles for borders. Definitely slower for me than doing straight up
half square triangles with an Angler, and not necessarily more accurate.
But -- you can iron...

They accepted her offer by 2pm today - the house is off the market and she
is scheduled to close on July 29th. I'm in a whirlwind! And she is no
where near walking on the ground! I could have my kitchen back - and my
garage - by September! Thanks for all the crossed fingers and good wishes.

Yes, I would love to have your tiramisu recipe. I don't know how to make
any Italian desserts. My husband makes a pretty good zuppen glaze.
