archives. I also have checked out a few books from the library. But they
were not very specific about which tools for which type of carving....

Transferring pattern to curved surface by
Glen
I am trying to transfer a pattern to the knee of a cabriole leg. I am
using carbon paper and am taping the the pattern at the top and bottom
of the area I carved. Since the paper is flat and the surface is
curved, the pattern did not transfer well. Does anybody have some
suggestions on how to do...

Bill Tinker
I have seen where there are some who would like to find different kinds of
wood in their area.
This site is the best I have found anywhere. Let me know if you know of a

What craft shows are on TV? by
JoelOmatik
Hi,
I was wondering what craft shows come on tv. Modern Masters is the only one I
know of on HGTV. I'm not looking for home design stuff, just crafting with
metal, wood, glass etc. Anyone know of any channels or time slots?
Please let me know, thanks.

spiral ball n box -- problems with first by
patrick
It has been about a year since I posted the chain carved from a stick of
basswood that was a hair larger than the date on a dime, and it was well
received so here is another post. I started out doing a micro spiral ball
in the box and hit a snag that required me to back up and do a larger one...

cutting your own basswood? by
Steve
I have basswood trees available for me to cut locally, but am not sure of
the best way to properly season the wood for carving. It seems to me that
now would be the best time to cut the trees because the sap isn't running in
winter. Is this assumption correct? Also should I leave it in logs to...
