new doll house site by
havana bill & holly
Monique, Very nice! and well done, I couldn't tell from the photos which

opening front & rear walls, but have not gotten to the cutting stage,
thought I'd try making a working copy in heavy cardboard to work the "bugs"
out of...

Michael's hutches by
havana bill & holly

the little hutches we all love to bash. Not so! Our local Michael's ran
out over the holidays, but this week a trip there found the hutches section
fully restocked so we can bash away or paint them "folksy" and try...

Figures (not dolls) for 1" scale by
Herb
zombie wrote:
Where can you find 1" scale figures that are realistic looking?
I'm talking about figures that would be along the line of model
soldiers and fantasy gaming miniatures but in 1" scale. I am always
dissatisfied with figures that I see that use real fabric and such.
The...

Thrift Shop images by
Herb
We built a little store front as a thrift shop -
this gives us a place to put all kinds of things that otherwise might
not find an immediate home, including cannisters with broken or no lids,
odd household decorative pieces, and on and on.
It also serves as a place to go to find things for other...

magnetic wire by
Herb
Do you mean "magnet wire", the kind of ultra-thin wire used to wind
electro-magnets? I wouldn't think so, but I'd check its ability to
carry the current load you need (typically a couple of hundred milliamps
at 12 V.) without getting warm or worse.
If you REALLY mean magnetIC wire (wire that's...

Scale by

My wife and I are VERY new to Dollhouses. We have not even bought one yet.
What is the best scale to get?
That's sort of like asking "What's the best car to get?" or "What's the
best color?"
The answer is, "It depends!"
