Sunday AM and a surprise phone call last night by
YarnWright
Just a quick Sunday AM post: I'm still in the process of fighting
with my domain provider, and have made a switch, which is going to
take a few days. It's a long boring story as to what my domain
registrar DID... but suffice to say, I am royally PO'd.
Anyway, guess what? I got the surprise of...

Need help with pattern knitting directions for a tote by
DAB
Hi I just received a pattern for The Sheep Tote by Bev Galeskas and was
going to town until I reached this:
First off you knit the bottom back and forth for 25 rows on size 11 circular
needles #24 got that part done and then it says to knit one more row and do
not turn.
Rotate work and knit up...

I saw this and am sure you already know about it, but here it is anyway.
It's the flyer (PDF) for the big tent sale in Listowel;

Will Need To Mend Wool Sweater by
[email protected]
I just bought a wool sweater that has a cut in it. Here's a picture of
the cut:
http://i21.ebayimg.com/03/i/06/98/fb/e0_1.JPG
I figured it would be easy to mend with thread but after reading a
little about wool, I wondered if regular thread would work, & wondered
if mending using yarn like...

Prayer Shawls by
Linda [email protected]
Hello all...
I bought some LionBrand Homespun to make a Prayer Shawl. When I
looked at the pattern on the LionBrand site, it says to use a 6 mm
needle, but the pattern on the Prayer Shawl minisry site says an 8 or
9 mm needle. What do most of you use? I thought the 8 or 9's would
be kind of...

shocking by
Millie James
rcty,
it's shocking ! I knit small for the first time -- ever ... I used a
certain _soft_ acrylic yarn to knit up a halter top, and the finished
garment looked like it could fit a nine-year-old girl?. Most times, I
knit really BIG, and give sweaters to bigger people ...

Made the mistake of visiting the "new" Hobby Lobby, which is just the
old ghetto Hobby Lobby relocated further up the strip mall into a
space vacated earlier this year by Mervyn's.
Yesterday was the first day the "new" store was open for business
after a four-day down window to move stock,...

June 6x6 Received by
Kira Dirlik
Hurrah. An apparent jinx upon me has been broken by the arrival of 3
beautiful squares from Judy. A multicolor, interesting Mondrian kind
of stitch of unusual yarn, a pretty mottled grey with an NC pink yarn
swatch, and a dark blue with yellow and white flowers. Thanks,
Judy.

I somehow managed to break a bamboo needle. Not a little 2-mm sock
needle, of which I've broken many in bamboo and wood (I keep extra sets
to replace the broken ones as I go along), but a 3.75-mm. I was making
a dishcloth when I felt it give way about 2" from the tip. Guess I
don't know my...
