What's everyone working on? Hugs, Noreen who knows there are 2 people who are going to ask: what is the purpose of this question, because apparently, THEY have something to hide, I guess! ;) -- I am not young enough to know everything.

Knitting speed ?? by
Had a speed trial this morning. With circular needles, I knit ~ 100 stitches per minute. With DPN and sheath, I knit ~ 160 stitches per minute. I'm sure some of you can do better than that with circulars, but it is better than the 20 spm that I was doing 4 years ago when I asked the group for...

http://www.littleknits.com/products.php?cat=323 +++++++++++++ Reply to the list as I do not publish an email address to USENET. This practice has cut my spam by more than 95%. Of course, I did have to abandon a perfectly good email account...

I just got Cat Bordhi's The Treasury of Magical Knitting specifically so I could learn her Moebius technique. I think I finally have the hang of it and I am the just wondering if anyone else has tried this method and might have any tips not found in the book for a newbie. Regards, Jenn in CA

What are you working on? by Sarah Carter
I've started on a Cathode jumper at http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter04/PATTcathode.html but am knitting it in plain black because that's what I've got, it'll go with everything, and I'll wear it all the time! :o) What are you making? Sarah -- What's your favourite thing?

Cher by Angelicsong
Cher, I wasn't the one doing the searching - Eleanore was. Once Eleanore made the accusation that Gem had gone to other groups looking for money, I decided to look at the groups that Eleanore said that Gemini was in asking for cash. I found NOTHING. So lets get this straight -- I DID NOT MAKE THE...

Good news to share by Katherine
I just had to tell someone this. As most of you know, we have a new grandson, Liam. Tonight, in a special service at our church, Liam is being baptized. Kandace, his big sister, will be pouring the water. Liam's mom, Darlene is also being baptized, and confirmed at the same time. Kandace, as a...

Introduction (Was Q? about kittens & cats sneezing) by Carey N.
Thank you all for the welcome. I have been looking in for a couple of months, and couldn't keep quiet when I saw Stella's question about sneezing cats. I also notice that when the vet says to give antibiotics for 10 days, kitty colds seem to run longer than that. My neighbor has several cats...

Unloved yarn by Sarah Grace
Hi RCTYers The frugal Christmas post got me thinking about how many of us have unloved yarn within our stashes that somebody else would probably love and that we could trade with them for something else. It would be a good opportunity to offload some excess stash in return for something more...

My Darling Mom by norma woods
I am heartbroken to write that Mom passed away this morning. Although I am glad that she is now at peace and out of pain, I will miss her more than words can express. -- Star love, Norma PM OES If God brings you to it, He will see you through it.

self patterning yarn by Beinchat
Hi everyone: Unbelievably, I restrained myself at the yarn shop and only bought a small ball of brown wool for some slippers and 2 balls of a self patterning wool for socks. The yarn makes *stripes* with a fair isle pattern after the stripes, this repeats app. 5 times for an average sock with a 6...

quick question by Brenda Harris
Hi Laura, For my money, Wooly is correct. To slip knitwise sets the stitch up backwards on the following row. That is the hind leg of the stitch is closest to the tip of the needle. A stitch that is properly oriented on the needle has it's front leg closest to the tip of the needle. My advise...
