Organize stuff by
Valkyrie
I found an informative site on organizing suggestions for sewing and craft
rooms. This always seems to be a topic of discussion here so I thought I'd
post it if anyone would be interested.

1way stretch fabric for 2way stretch pattern? by
Joy Hardie
Here is my problem of the day. I have a one-way stretch lycra
material that I need to use for a two-way stretch bodysuit pattern.
The fabric does have a "slight" stretch in the second direction....but
not the 75% that the pattern calls for.
Am I better off....
#1 - Using the stretch for the width...

Stupid Americans! -- Stupid... Stupid... STUPID!!! __________==___ agymdovo by
Marlys in Indiana
In my estimation ( which may not be worth much) the Americans should stop
sending their tax dollars to all of these others countries who seem to hate
them
so much. How would that set with the rest of the world??? The Americans
have
most likely helped every other country in the world and each of...

Draft a bra pattern from a sloper by
TJones3676
The sloper used should be a perfect fit for the person for whom the bra is to
be drafted. The front and back are drafted at the same time.
1. Trace the front and back slopers, including the darts. If there is a side
seam in the sloper, picot it into the waistline dart before beginning.

Mtsny0
Good evening!
I thought I'd ask the experts.
Does anyone know of an online site that carries red & black wool check fabric -
like used in lumberjack shirts? With checks about 1" square?
I'm a quilter and can track down any batik on the planet. But when it comes to
fabric for clothes, I'm...

Threads back cover by
joy beeson
I just got the January (#116) issue of threads. My first
thought on seeing the "blouse" on the back cover was that it
must be underwear; lovely construction, but surely nobody
would want to be seen like that! Then I thought that part
of the underwear look came from fitting the garment to
someone...

taking in a pleated skirt by
Casey Kane
Hello kind sewing folks!
I have two cute longer pleated skirts i would like to take in, but i
am wondering if this is a very difficult endeavor. Do you have to
remove the skirting from the waistband to do this? One is just a bit
too big in general, so i might be able to do it up the back...
