two questions by
S
I'm working on a couple of different things right now, and on both I
have questions.
One thing I'm making is tank tops from cotton rib knit. I've been
playing around with one out of fabric I don't like before I start on
the good stuff. I don't have any problems with basic
construction--the...

Thanks in advance for any help. I have made a headboard/wall sham for a
double bed in a guest room. Basically just made a giant pillowcase for
2 euro pillows and sewed down the center to keep them in place.
I would like to hang this on the wall behind the bed so it can come
off when it needs to....

I have a BabyLock Evolve Serger and a HuskyStar 224 Sewing machine and I
have an issue with both machines when I'm sewing parallel stitches. On the
serger I use wide set chain stitches and on the sewing machine I use one of

Newbie sewing - what am I doing wrong? by
[email protected]
Hello,
I've been lurking for about a week now, as I am just beginning to sew.
My first project is a pair of pants and they have 2 front and 1 back
dart. So far, the crotch length is good, but with the 2 front darts I
have "balloons" of material below the darts... as if I have an excess
of...

Hi there,
Well, after years of moving around, I finally had my Elnita tuned up
-- $$$ and an hour away. I brought it home yesterday, and proceeded to
start a dress for my daughter -- with beads. A few minutes in, I hit
a bead, the needle broke, and now the stitching is uneven and I hear a
bit of...

my first bit of sewing ! by
Happy Poor
I sewed 2 patches together last night in backstitch
I found it very relaxing and time flew,
then I made a loveheart, I half blue one half white, and sewed it on as
a patch
on an old pair of jeans with a hole in them...
the Blue and White represents Blackburn Rovers
and it may catch on...

Bubble skirts? by
Arri London
Picked up last month's issue of a sewing mag published by the fabric
shop/chain. Talking about prom dresses. They mentioned bubble skirts as
being fashionable again. While they were around for a while in the early
90s in London, the fad didn't last long. No one ever looked good in
them.
So... are...
