Someone's b-d! by
Joan Erickson
Ha! I actually got this out ahead of time!
It's PatP's b-d on Saturday. She was having 'puter problems and still
hasn't figured out how to get back on the ng. If any of you have her
email, you can send her a b-d wish.
If you don't and want it, let me know and I'll send it to you.

Scout for the price of window http://www.neednewwindows.com online. For those who don't have enough time to drive around going from one company to another, this is a very convenient way to ask for the replacement costs.

Looking for alpaca yarn by
Joan Erickson
Hi all,
I know several of you are knitters/crocheters, so thought I'd try here.
Several years ago I purchased some yarn. I finally found a pattern to
use with it and have found I need more than what I got. I contacted the
company and they replied they discontinued this line of yarn several...

Knitting - BBC Radio 4 by
Bruce
BBC Radio 4 on Wednesday 23 April.
"In A Gripping Yarn, Jane Garvey explores the world of knitting. It's a
lot more exciting and dynamic than the simple 'knit one, purl one'
sweater would have you believe!"

How Can You Tell An Antique from A Copy? by
Monica Ferris
If someone brought to you a dirty, stained piece of linen in a broken frame and you saw it was a sampler dated 1882, how could you tell it was actually a copy? I'm thinking it was stitched on uneven-count linen with silk floss. This is to be a minor plot point in the mystery novel I'm writing. ...

Where to find 32-count linen by
Danny Breidenbach
Apparently, Kansas City is a needlework wasteland. What's a good online store where I can find 32-count linen, antique white, 17.25 x 20.5 inches or larger?
Thanks!

frogging. .. cut from the front or back? by
Danny Breidenbach

I would veeeeeeery carefully snip a few places on the front and frog away. I like to "unstitch" as much as I can to minimize cutting.
That's how I would do it. "Different strokes for different folks" is a...
