That kind of pottery day by
Brad Sondahl
The day started out in a forthright manner--looking forward to trimming
and footing about 40 pots, unloading a glaze kiln... I'd noticed that
the kiln was taking longer and longer to fire, so I checked the elements
and one was burned out. I usually use this as the time to replace them
all, so I...

Closing one Sondahl pottery website, continuing other by
Brad Sondahl
I'm closing my website on Earthlink within a month , and currently
redirecting all the traffic (still 60 hits a day, mostly potters) there
to my permanent home, http://sondahl.com. I've added a lot of pages in
the last 6 months, some of them pottery how-to related, most of them
useful, so please...

Does anyone know the easiest way to make your own stilts, making them level!
Mine always seem not to be as robust or professional as bought ones - any

^10 HEATING QUESTION IN HOME MADE KILN by
bri
Hello All:
I am building a small kiln that I hope to take up to ^10. I am using an oil
burner to get up that high but it heats too quickly at the start so I plan
to use a smaller propane burner at first to hold it at about 100c for a
while and raise the temp slowley after that, then at some point...

one...

potters in washington state? by
Bri
Clay art in tacoma is a good supply, Seattle Pottery supply has lots of stuff but
not as friendly as Clay art.
The Burien parks dept has ceramics training, I am taking classes at Highline
community college and Boeing has a ceramics club too.

Spinning tiger drive wheel by
Bri
Hello All:
I bought a spinning tiger wheel but the drive wheel was toast on it. I
ordered a replacement from Creative but it came apart after only 10
minutes of running, and that was running with no load on it. Does anyone
have a source for good drive wheels for the spinning tiger? How about
any...

Has anyone heard of Habbacombe Potteries in Torquay? by
Bromley Oxfam
Has anyone heard of Habbacombe Potteries in Torquay?
I might have misread the Habbacombe bit, especially the H.
Anyone come across this name before? I'm trying to figure out how much
to charge for a vase.
Thanks in advance,
