Thank someone today by
Connie Einarson
You all as a group are a kind bunch, and I have already gotten more
thanks and prayers from you all for what I do than I ever got from my
patients or their families. I would just like to remind you all to give
thanks today for your local ambulance, fire, rescue squad, and police.
September 11th is...

News on Laurene Sinema by
Pati Cook
It isn't really good. I have been thinking about dropping a note here
for those of you who are interested. Laurene is having a rough time
with the chemo. She was scheduled to present a trunk show last Thurs at
the Phoenix Area Quilters' Association and instead her former business
partner, and...

OT - Furry QI's...anyone NOT have them??? by
frood
Well, we just got a dog a few days ago, but were pet-less for 3 years before
that. I admit I am an animal lover through and through, but if you are not,
that's ok with me. I don't hold that against anyone! It does make for a more
simple life - no extra mouths to feed, or take walkies. You can leave...

First Patchwork Lesson by
BrenLee
Did log cabin squares in our first lesson - 3 in class, and then 3 for
homework. The second three were better than the 1st 3, but i'm not entirely
happy with the 2nd 3 either, so I'm going to do all 6 again. i also had a
flash of inspiration, that although making a scrap quilt from my...

OT - I took the summer off?! by
Aprshowers
HI Quilt buddies! I'm back to my normal life style. LOL I think!
The last time I checked in was June. What's been happening since then?
Alot! And none of it was good. After my surgery, DH had his surgery to
have a very LARGE hemorrhoid removed. It went fine, took him 6 hours after
surgery...

Mom's Grandmother's Fan & Lone Star by
MerryStahel
Pa finally sent me photos of Mom's Grandmother's Fan. I have taken finished
photos, but apparently they are lost in DH's 26 rolls of undeveloped film G.
I posted the Fan on my Webshots page, in the More Quilts album. There is a
closeup of one fan to show the antique lace and Pa put a photo of...

Halloween not really OT by
Carolyn Williams
I had to put down my quilting since I promised to make at least 5 of my
grandkids their own Halloween costumes. Like that county western song -
What was I thinking!!!! They each picked out what they wanted to be and
when I realized that I have to have them done before 10/3 when I have my
knee...

Puppy Wizard's ranting by
Nell Reynolds
This is to Pat in VA, and anyone else who has to pay by the line. My
sincere apologies that my response got that foul-mouthed idiot's ranting
back on your computer. Since I have had no luck in deleting obnoxious
messages from my newsgroup, I assumed everyone else was in the same case.
Also, I...

OT -- health concern/prayers appreciated by
Dragonfly
It's been years since I've posted about a health concern -- probably
about 4 years ago, in fact. (And so many of you are new since then,
and don't remember me at all!)
Some of you might remember a long-ago post about some sort of
irregularity in a PAP test I had back then, and that they wanted to...

suggestions please? by
Anne
Hi all,
Can someone/anyone help me get my brain in gear please?
Here is the situation: I have three nieces for whom I want to make
quilts when they graduate from high school. The oldest, "R" graduates in
June 2004 -- lots of time. "L" graduates in 2006, no problem. "H"
graduates in 2008,...

Let the beg-fest begin! (non-US only, please) by
Kathy Applebaum
Somehow, I'm on someone's list. Big surprise, I know! (Stop snickering, you
all!!!) Actually, I mean for free quilting magazines. They must think I have
a retail quilting business, not just the longarm stuff.
Anyways, I know those of you outside North America have a hard time getting
US magazines,...
