P.S. I didn't realize you're in the states now . . . shows how infrequently I visit RCTQ on this site.
The FB page is very hard to be added to Nann, my request has been pending for some time.

Hi there,
Long time lurker and sometime poster from long ago here.
I made a queen sized quilt top for my daughter but am unable to quilt it. I started it and made a mess.
I need someone in the SFBA who can help me out and undo my mess and finish quilting it for me.
There used to be a poster named...

Repairing a quilt by
Brian[_3_]
My philosophy of quilting is that it is both a fine art and a practical
art.
The fine art portion is that I think even a "stash buster" quilt should
somewhat be coordinated in the colors/patterns chosen, as judged by the
quiltmaker.
The practical art part is that quilts are meant to be used...

Last Call for Tigg's Hug Blocks by
Kate_in_MI
Mary Munn Dorchak asks:
"Are there any other hug blocks I should be looking for other than from
Johanna Gibson? I have posted here or emailed all hug block senders as I
received the blocks."
I'll be sure to forward any replies here to Mary.
Thanks

The Flutterby Quilt by
[email protected]
I have revised a pattern that uses 2 1/2 inch jelly rolls. Instead I wanted to use a (42 piece) 10" layer cake I just brought. There was only 2 or 3 prints that I liked, the rest was ugly as far as I was concerned. Will never buy another layer cake. I recommend cutting your own 10 inch squares. ...

Several bounced due to bad addresses.
If you are on the HUG list but didn't get the message -- please let me know.

Tumbler Quilt by
[email protected]
Finished my Flutterby quilt and now onto the Tumbler. I did one of these quilts many years ago, so it is an old quilt/pattern. I needed something to use up left over pieces of this and that, along with material in layer cakes and charm packs I didn't like, so this quilt is everything including the...

OT Stove Mouse Wins! now: The Revenge of Curly Whiskers by
Night Mist
It was a thing of beauty.
Stove Mouse popped out, Jericho was waiting on his chair and just stood with one paw on the stove and reached out with the other paw, snagged Stove Mouse and threw him down to the floor where Jiji was waiting. Jiji dispatched Stove mouse immediately.
It was like they...

Quilted jacket by
Brian[_3_]
Several years ago I made myself a quilted jacket
(https://www.flickr.com/photos/brian0908/, album = quilted jacket). I
took the pictures with my phone, so they are not "great." Even where I
live, Tucson, AZ, it gets cold enough where I need to wear this
relatively heavy jacket some of the...

Finding an old style tool by
NightMist
So I have this old bodkin that I have been using for sequins and beading
and the like.
Now that I have a dancing daughter I find I am getting a lot more call
for such things. I used to do them but seldom for there hasn't been
much call for such fancies these last couple of decades.
I should...

I used to trade fabric pc's years ago. Looking at them is still enjoyable and fun. Does this group exchange fabric pc's? I would love to exchange them again. This is the first google group I have encountered and I am not sure how it works. Please help me. Thank you.

Mega Quilter grinding noise by
Debbie Dempsky
I've had my Mega Quilter for about 4 years. Some days I love it. Some days I wonder what it would look like if I threw it out the second floor of my house and had it land at the bottom of the pool.
Last week it suddenly started to make a horrible grinding noise. I ran it long enough for my...

I have finally gotten around to this pattern and I have done the block 3 times

still the same. If I continue will all the blocks compensate and fit in the
end? I have the new Bernina 16 embroidery machine and the design...

Hello All,
This is the quilt I am working on now. It has 4 -5 inch print squares and 4-5 inch contrasting squares. A white 5 inch square goes in the center of row two. You use 16- 2 3/4 inch white squares for snowballing(I use a pencil to mark the line on the snowball squares to opposite...

Anvil Chorus Quilt by

In McCall's quilting magazine Sept./Oct. 2013 page 86 is the Anvil Chorus quilt I am in the process of making. I plan on changing the quilt a little by putting just 2 1/2 in rows sewn together as strips for sashing and a 4 patches all around the outer quilt as a border. The quilt calls for 2 1/2...
