Advice re Sewing Machine by
CindiA
Hello --
I've been lurking awhile, this is my first post. I need to buy an
inexpensive, simple, lightweight sewing machine to carry to quilting
classes. I presently have an old Singer which works okay but weighs a
ton-and-a-half, it's a killer to schlep around. I've seen several
inexpensive...

We've tried freezing it and washing it but to no avail.
I Googled on "removing silly putty" and found lots of different ideas.

bra-making fabric store in East Bay? by
wurstergirl
Does anyone remember there having been a store in the San Francisco Bay
Area East Bay that specialized in fabrics and supplies for bra-making?
I remember one having been in the Alameda/Emeryville or maybe San
Leandro kind of area, but can't find it in the yellow pages.
Thx,
Pora

Rug Repairs: I consider this ssewing--A question by

Anyone ever had a rug (not a carpet) repaired? I pulled a 9 X 12
Karastan wool rug off the curb last night This is an excellent quality
machine-woven rug, a big Karastan.
I got a good look at it this morning. Compared to some of the
wonderful antique Persian rugs on sale for beaucoup bucks,...

Need help ID'ing Singer model number by
BookWight
Hi -
I just got a Singer sewing machine as a hand-me-down from my sister. Is
there a page which displays a large number of models so I might make a
guess as to which model corresponds to mine?
Where would I look for the model number on the machine?

Suggestions for cutting large numbers of strips by
FtForger
I took in a lot of the information about the neck chillers and started
to make some. I made 8 on the first run, and took them to a
blacksmithing workship I went to. Even though it was not above 70
degrees, and there was a nice breeze blowing, I still sold 5 of the 8.
I need to make a lot more, and...

Question on Embroidering by
Don Wagner
I had an idea that sounded great, but it isn't working out too well - maybe
someone here knows the answer. I got some dissolving paper, and ran it
through a copy machine to print the pattern on it I wanted to embroider.
Then I put a light coat of basting spray on it, and tacked the paper to...

Anyone have both the Rose and Platinum 770? by
Eric Sanders
I just ended up buying a Rose as well as the Platinum 770 on ebay.
Sheesh, I'm too impulsive. Anyway, I will be reselling one of them.
I know that the 770 doesn't have embroidery capability, but how useful
is the Rose without the reader? It came with the extra card#30.
I checked out the 770 at...
