Faux turquoise by enui
I found this tutorial about making faux turquoise http://www.jaedworks.com/clayspot/techniques/turquoise.html and I'm going to try it but I have a doubt: between step 3 and 4, do you wait for the paint to dry? -- enui

Fimo Soft deforming when baking twice by enui
Among other things I'm working on a torc (torque?) I used a clay gun to make the basic shape with fimo soft, two pieces of twisted rope connected by a small cilinder; I baked it in the oven and let it cool completely in the oven so it would stay flexible. After a while I added a layer of gold fimo...

Best clay for charms by Marisa Cappetta
Hi, all. I want to make some charms and would like to know which clay is the strongest for this purpose. I've used Fimo Sculpey and applied some pressure tests and it seems to break fairly easily. I'd appreciate any recommendations. -- Marisa (AU/NZ) http://www.galleryvittoria.com She said, as...

transfers - still complicated? by kellyK
How is the search for inexpensive ways of transferring images onto clay (raw or otherwise) with INK JET printers *without* hassle or expensive transfer papers coming? I'd like to try to develop a way, but I don't have the patience to reinvent the wheel. KellyK

To drill or pre-pierce? by
What are the reasons one would drill a bead after baking instead of piercing it while soft? How do you drill a squirming, rolling bead, (i.e. what drill, how do you keep it still, etc?) Many thanks from a real newbie!

Old vs new 'enhanced' inkjet paper by kellyK
I've been playing around with some epson Stylus-Pro printer paper (doing transfers), but I've noticed in Glass-Attic that the S041062 order-number switched 'formula' at some point. This paper I have is about 3 years old, so I'm assuming I have the 'old' kind. Is it still 'no go' with the...

glass attic question by kellyK
I know I'd been away from polymer clay for awhile, but it seems my memory is failing... did Laurel Nevans originate Glass Attic? I thought someone else did, but Laurel's home page seems to suggest that she began it -- or maybe I'm just reading it incorrectly. Or I *could* chalk it up to still...

seed bead tube storage by Carla
A couple of months ago, I saw a plastic ammo case used for storing clay canes. I thought that would also be a good way to store tubes of seed beads, to keep them upright and easily accessible, etc. Unfortunately, I can't remember the website I saw it on. I've gone looking for "plastic ammo...
