OT? Brownie recipe needed by claudia
Good morning. There is chocolate involved so maybe the OT is inappropriate! I am looking for a foolproof, rich, moist chewy, fudgy, chocolatey brownie recipe made from scratch that does not involve boxed mixes that are not available here in Spain unless you are willing to pay about $7 for each. I...

O.T. Pie Crust by Bonnie Patterson[_2_]
I've been watching the thread about pie crust. My Mum was impressed with my pie crust and asked for the recipe. I use the recipe in my "Betty Crocker" cook book that was new in 1966, I saved up coupons, and got the loose leaf book. Used to get it free with enough coupons, had to only pay postage....

OT help needed with fixing kids coat by Joanna[_3_]
Friend bought 3 expensive coats and the kids can't get their arms through the holes. I will have to cut off the cuff plus the same into the arm. But what do you suggest to use to fix. I was thinking just use knit, as in cuff stuff and it will be twice as long as a regular cuff. Just wondering...

When you go to the store to get punkin pies be sure to read the box and not just look at the picture, you could be getting Sweetpotato pie. My DH brought home 2 of them so had to go back to the store to get punkin, I usually make them from scratch but not this yr. Shoulders won't take the rolling...

Stripes quilt block? by Polly Esther[_5_]
There's a beautiful array of stripes here. Does anybody have a clue what I was going to do with them? Insufficient memory and all that, you know. Polly

Nine patch question by Donna in Idaho[_2_]
While digging through my sewing room this afternoon, I found some partially made and some completed nine patches and I can't remember how I made them! It was a really quick method, but not quick if I can't remember how to do it. I've looked around on the 'net, but haven't found any patterns for...

OT ping Taria by Polly Esther[_5_]
Black-eyed peas etc are the order of the day for New Year's and when I turned to my cookbooks I realized that I'd never recommended to you: the American Heart Association's cookbook. It is very possible that there's not one recipe in it that you will ever follow exactly. OTOH, there are lots...

OT really! a cool sewing fix by Polly Esther[_5_]
Fastening the top button on my sweetheart's dress shirts has always been a pain in the neck. After studying alternatives, the baby soft velcro caught my attention. Always 'testing 1, 2, 3', I took a shabby white shirt, clipped off the button and stitched on the hook and loop stuff being very...

embroidery machine is a dud by Polly Esther[_5_]
I was so in hopes that Mr. Esther would be delighted with the Brother embroidery machine Santa brought him. Nope. He's ignored it. The children gave him a wii for Christmas. Every lady in the neighborhood that doesn't quilt is in the den with him bowling. Well, that's what they...

quilt related Christmas gifts by Susan Laity Price
Santa didn't bring any LQS gift certificates or quilt calendars but he brought lots of Chocolate and a new computer. My eight year old computer was groaning from information overload. Between the digital photos and EQ files that have filled the poor old gal she was taking forever to boot. This new...

Recycle used Christmas cards, calendars for crafts, etc. by Roberta[_3_]
I recycle the card fronts, assuming nobody wrote on that side, by cutting into gift tags. Punch a neat hole in one end for a bit of gold thread to tie on the package. One card makes 4-6 tags, depending on size. And they don't have to be the same size! Roberta in D On Mon, 28 Dec 2009 07:22:33...

organizing digital photographs by Susan Laity Price
