OT Bubble and Squeak by
frood
I have a recipe that Juliette (who hasn't posted in a while, but may be
lurking - Hi!) sent me, and another one from the Colonial Williamsburg
cookbook.
I'm ok with the recipes for the patties/balls of cabbage and potatoes, but
what about the gravy? Is a Bisto gravy good enough? (Bisto is a brown...

Silly questions (on topic) by
Karlee in Kansas
I've been fiddling with the idea of a stack n whack for a while....and want
to try at least one block. I have my fabric picked out, but don't have a
clue where to start. All the info that I can find on the web boils down to
"buy my book" and I don't have the extra $$ right now to buy...

Quilt labels by
Sindir
I bought some really cute quilt labels at Wal-Mart the other day. They are
iron on and have a space for a name. My questions is, how do you get your
name on the label? If it's by marker, what type of marker? Is it
embroidery? Please help!

Help -- pencil marks didn't wash out by
[email protected]
Does anyone have advice for getting out black pastel chalk pencil marks?
I bought the pencil at my LQS and marked a few quilting lines on white
and yellow fabrics. Washed the quilt in Orvus soap with a Woolite Dye
Magnet sheet. The pencil marks didn't fade a bit.
What remedies have worked for...

Three Questions by
Patti S
Good Morning,
I frequently read your postings and am often delighted and amused with
the things you say - reaffirming the fact that I love being around women
who quilt. Unfortunately, none of my friends are quilters, sewers,
painters - not a creative bone in their bodies, and I'm longing...

every term paper, research paper, and book report *ever*.
2. The last time I cleaned out my purse, I found receipts that were 3 years

Fusible batting - HQ? by
A Joy in Hawaii
Has anyone ever hand quilted a quilt using fusible batting? I read a
bunch of past posts saying it's not recommended, it's stiff, and the
(machine) needle gets sticky (when MQing)...but I wanted to know if
any of you REBELS out there tried to HQ with it yet. My mom's Singer

Magnifying Glasses by

My wife has come to patchwork & quilting late in life and her eyes are not
as young as they used to be. She has heard of a glass that hangs by a cord
from the neck, rests on the chest and allows work in the lap to be viewed.
Can anyone point us to a source of supply?
We are in the UK and our son...
