Advice from a Singer Sewing Manual from 1949.

framing artwork on cloth by
ted
I'm a lurker. I figure most of you must have framed your artwork. I
was wondering if you use glass while framing your artwork or just
frame without any glass on the top. I was talking to the guy at Hobby
Lobby and he said that when we're framing artwork on cloth we don't
need to use glass.
Which...

Firehouse Angel: Who's next? by
Felice Friese
I have an empty calendar this week and no reason to venture out onto icy
roads, so I think I'll probably be through by the end of the week with the
section of the Angel that I've claimed as mine.
My compliments to Tia Mary and Jan for their meticulous stitching. They
made it possible for me to...

Gifts was OT school trips WAS Message for animaux by
Dukkum
Not everybody likes needlework. This subject comes up all the time. It's
easy,
I don't give it to anyone unless they come in my house and ooo and ahhhh over
it.
I don't give to get a thanks either.
This neighbor I was talking about didn't even open the gift -- and it wasn't a
complicated...

Looking for a BC Freebie by
D.Smith
Hello everyone!
I'm looking for a somewhat old Bent Creek's freebie call "Owl on an
Egg". Anyone have a copy of this or know where I can get a copy? It
was a free chart - so I don't think there will be a problem with
copyrights.
Thanks,
D. Smith from Atlanta

I'm going to get one Monday, and wanted to do a bit of research before I get

First linen forray by
Debra
I've always used aida for cross stitch. Well I've had a piece of
linen for awhile and finally decided to try it out a few weeks ago.
The linen is 25 count, and it's not bad to work on at all. The only
problem is that it feels yucky and makes my hands warmer than normal
and red. I think I'm...

Well friends, I don't know if I'm going to survive this terrible shock.
