Glass etching...what to charge? by
Bill Browne
With my computer business in a slump, I've been looking for ways to
supplement my income. Some folks have noticed my glass etching hobby, and
may want their company logo deep cut. I was wondering how and what others
charge for their work. By the square inch? Complexity of the pattern? I'm
not...

Glass etching - cheaply? by
Louis Cage
The absolute cheapest way per piece is to sandblast using double layers of
contact paper or sign vinyl and cut your own patterns with an Xacto knife.
The most accurate is probably photo emulsion (like from Photobrasive) for
making the mask and then sandblasting, You can use the sun to expose...

Window inserts by
Harold E. Keeney \(Hal\)
A friend of mine just bought an older house with a
a very sturdy structure. All of the windows and doors are very deeply (3 &

like to have several windows done with stained glass. The exterior windows
are very well set and
are weatherproof. Instead of replacing the...

question about photographing glass by
ConTactMe
I took this image using a flash, and it has a glowing effect. I'm trying to
find out if it's due to the shape or due to gases in the glass. It's a cool
effect, and I'd like to be able to duplicate it, or create similar effects.
Does anyone else have experience with this?
Thanks

Little beady eyes in copper foil by
Jeff Oakley
My current copper foil project has a lot of little birds that are
about 2 1/4 inches long. I had originally planned on creating small
black eyes on the birds by applying a tiny dot of puff paint to the
finished project for each eye. Now I am thinking that this would not
be as permanent as I would...

Fabric Backed Glass Plates? by

At a recent craft show I saw a display of clear glass dinner plates which
had been backed with fabric. The fabric was then sealed. Since I work in a
fabric store, this would be a great way to use remnants. Could anyone here
give me instructions on how to do this? I would greatly appreciate the...
