just enjoying my embroidery by
mirjam
i am just enjoying my embroidery , this time of year i usually go
through my closets of materials ] of all my crafts and art textiles] ,
to see that no `bad visitors` came to stay. and of course some
embroidery `experiments`, float into
the light sometimes touching
them again gives the Spark to...

Weird needles by
Olwyn.Mary
Along with the lap frame I bought at the rummage sale, there was a paper
of needles of a type I have not seen before. They are very heavy, 3.5
inches long and about the weight of a size 18 tapestry needle, with
sharp points and with an eye which looks like a narrowed (or squished)
letter...

Have the Clergy clothes been updated ? by
[email protected]
Just like in the 2000, we watched the This Pope`s visit with great
curiousity ,
I have noted that this time the clothes of the Pope as well as of his
Entourage , were less embroidered than the Former Pope`s clothes ,
Also i think [by the way the clothes mooved in the winds , that the
basic...

Stefania Bressan lives in Italy and I'm concerned about her. If anyone

ISO attorney chart by
Liz from Humbug
If any of you have the chart: Attorney (#1022, by Imaginating, Inc,
designed by Diane Arthurs) could you please email me directly? I'm
about 3/4 of the way finished and have lost half of the chart. I can
figure most of the rest out by looking at a printout of the design
itself, but could use a...

status of medici by
stitcher
Was in a needlework shop this week I don't usually shop in. The owner
said that DMC is
discontinuing Medici. I don't see anything anywhere on the web to this
effect. I wonder
if his info was trustworthy. Anyone heard this?

On topic: The hurrieder I go, the behinder I get by
Susan Hartman/Dirty Linen
Subtitle: Save me from my big ideas!
Don't you just hate it when you start a project in a leisurely manner,
enjoying the process, and the closer you get to the deadline the more
and more you just focus on the product. Enjoying the process gets harder
when the focus shifts. And the anxiety begins...

non-energetic happy dance by
Susan Hartman
Just got back from an annual weekend getaway with my BFFs from
elementary and high school. We had a marvelous condo in Hilton Head and
spent three days doing Nothing At All except talking and laughing and
occasional walks on the beach or dips in the pool.
I, however, spent the entire weekend...

WAY OT-For those that crave warm weather by
Lucille
YOU KNOW YOU ARE IN FLORIDA IN JULY WHEN. . . .
The birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.
The trees are whistling for the dogs.
The best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.
Hot water now comes out of both taps.

Parterre by
[email protected]
Has anyone done these by Christine Harris, worked out your own, etc? I
am about to start mine and thinking it could be kind of interesting as
read now that it takes 15 hours to accomplish a 2x2 inch square ! I
love intricate things though so not scared~~ more like more interested
now !

Stitch Program by
Angel
I have PM for Cross Stitch v. 3 std., but was wondering about the other
programs out there. I like to fiddle around with bookmarks occasionally and
use specialty stitches. Any input is appreciated.

Baltimore Album Quilts by
Pat EAXStitch
Just come home from our craft club, where we had a demonstration of
Baltimore Album Applique quilts - absolutely breathtaking!
I took my daughter Jane, who completely fell in love with them too.
Apparently an asset in making these, particularly if you`re doing a
"snowflake" block is Freezer paper...

Stand question by
lewmew
I have a fairly nice floor stand which I would like to use more.
However, my hoop keeps slipping out! It's in correctly, in the groove
for it, and I tighten sufficiently. Any suggestions on how to keep it
in place?

I tried something different by
Brenda Lewis
I guess I'm officially on an ornament kick. After finishing the Mill
Hill ornie for DH, I started a set of six (Blue Jean Teddy) for DD. I'm
about half-way through the first one so far. I also came across a kit
of felt applique penguins ornies in my stash. I hadn't done any kind of
applique...

Secondly, thanks to those of you who gave me ideas on how to embellish
this piece. It is truly a piece I will...
