Hello by
Lisa Richards
I guess that now that I've twitted Gillian on her grammar/vocab (good
naturedly, I promise :-) ), I should de-lurk. I've finally managed to
get back onto the newsgroup after many years' absence. After moving from
IL to AZ to NY we've now been in CA for 5 years (east of the Bay) and
loving it. I...

http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/2747314320053147477FtNMWL is
the link to my latest project, a star. The white part and backstitching
glows in the dark. Pretty cool, if I do say so myself

help request by

HI Here's a difficult question and the story behind it.
At the pioneer village where I work we have a Jewish man who would
wear an 1860's yarmulka if I made and embroidered it. The amusing
thing is that he will be in our protestant manse 2 days of his shift.
Perhaps he could be a visiting rabbi?
I...

Joy embroidery by
Mirjam Bruck-Cohen
I started to get little pieces of embroidery as well as little woven , knitted and crocheted
pieces , i wondered for a long time what to do with them. Played with
an idea to make a big `crazy quilt` kind of wall piece, changed my
mind. in the mean time stored those pieces in big plastic jars,...

And They Sinned by
Colleen[_2_]
I'm working towards starting this for my New Years resolution lol. I was
supposed to have started it 2 years ago but got scared. Is anyone working
on this right now? And if so, how in the world did you find the "guts"(so
to speak)to start it?
Peace,
Colleen

I cut up some today and made little bobbins to store odds and ends of
floss. I only kept pieces which were at least a foot long, altho I'll
prob. never use 'em. DH asked why I needed forty shades of
green.....he just doesn't get it.

general interest:
The Maryland Historical Society has an exhibit of Maryland Schoolgirl
