EVIL SUNBONNET SUE BLOCK SWAP by
georg
Evil Sunbonnet Sue is not Sue watering the flowers or standing alone
contemplating the wonders of the Universe. Evil Sue is doing something
of which her mother ought not be proud. For ideas of what people have
done in the past, please check out this site (which may or may not have
exceeded its...

wish me luck! by
judy in fort worth
Tomorrow, bright and early, I will start cutting out the borders for my Out
of the Darkness quilt. This is a Pam Bono design and if any of you have
ever made one of her quilts, you know what I am facing. The twelve blocks
and the center medallion are finished. Each block took about 2 hours to...

another stippling question by
DrQuilter
when you are stippling and you do a tight curve, do you sometimes see
the top thread in the back, as if the stitches had too much top thread
and too little bottom thread, so that the bottom thread is on a tighther
curve, and the top one is stretching and trying to follow that curve?
Not sure if you...

Back from vacation - aka, a quilting retreat! by
AliceW
Didn't notice I was gone, did ya? Well, I was in the Outer Banks of North
Carolina since May 22nd. I brought my laptop but the dial-up there was
spotty at best, so I wasn't on long even when I did connect. I did hold
happy, healing and comforting thoughts for all of you that had/will...

Recycling a quilt by
David/Karen Garza
I have a table topper that I made several years ago that has
a hole in it and a few stains. It's about 36" square. The
colors are nice and it's hand quilted, so I want to recycle
it. I was thinking about using it as fabric to make a tote,
or maybe some other crafty project. Is there any way...

June BOM by
Anne in CA
I think all that energy in Central NY is bleeding out across the country!
Just for fun (and instead of cleaning the bathrooms, which I do truly
absolutely hate to do) I made the Lady in the Lake block today. It looks
a LOT more complicated than it is. The little nine patches are, after
all, just...

TAKING A BREAK!!! by
CNYstitcher
Yes, you read correctly. I am taking a break from touching up paint,
packing up boxes, etc. I've had it!! Tired, grouchy, and coming off
nicotine sigh.
So, once I get done wiht the computer, I will be trying to get the
little karate uniforms done, and possibly the embroidery done as well.
I...

stippling by
Dixie Sugar
I am trying to learn to stipple and have a problem. Some of the time my
stitching looks ok but other times the backside of my fabric has big wads of
thread. What am I doing wrong? I tried adjusting the tension and also the
speed of my sewing. Maybe I'm not moving the fabric correctly?? ...

Good to be back by
Elizabeth Monahan
I've been gone for ages. First it was because of having surgery on my
arthritic thumb at the end of January. It's pretty good now unless I do
stupid things like use that hand to whang the food chopper.
DD3 and her husband moved in with us in February, having found San
Francisco too expensive. ...
