Son's second day after surgery by Susan Laity Price
My son, Tom, looked much more alert when I arrived at the hospital this morning. It is still hard for him to talk because he has a tube in his nose. He hoped to have it removed today but the doctor said it should stay until tomorrow. The doctor allowed a few ice chips which Tom really appreciated....

It would have been better to change the walking foot to the plain sewing foot - I could not eyeball the quarter inch having the walking foot on the machine and so the nine patches turned out too small!...
